If you are searching for the latest gastro pub, organic vegetables, or artisanal creations, just keep driving. Stop in, sit down and order a scrambled dog, smothered with chili, cheese, onions, and pickles. Wash it down with tea sweet enough to make your eyes sweat. Enjoy an old timey pharmacy diner. Say Hi to Lieutenant and your experience will be... More

This is as local as you can get!!! Inside this pharmacy is a small diner (with counter-type table and round mini-stools) where the best Scramble dogs are served in the south. A Scramble dog is basicaly a hot dog cut in little pieces with a bun and chili served on a ceramic lasagna dish. From there you can take the... More

If you are anywhere near Columbus, a Dinglewood Scramble Dog is worth a detour!! Others have given poor reviews about hamburgers or grilled cheese sandwiches, but they MISSED THE BOAT! Dinglewood is famous for its chili, more specifically its chili dog, there known as a Scramble Dog. They have been making Scramble Dogs there for probably 60 years, and they... More

Get the scrambled dog all the way. Love this place! I always come here with old friends when I'm in town.

Food tastes good, I always get the scrambled dog of course. It is really irritating though that nobody ever comes to give you drink refills. Not ever. You always have to go get it yourself.

My best friend and I went to visit my friends nephew in Columbus and when it came time for lunch we asked my friends nephew were he would like to go. We are from out of town. He suggested Dinglewoods Pharmacy. He said they have food and an old fashion soda fountain so we thought why not. When we first... More

I am from Columbus but I dont live there anymore. But everytime I visit I alway come here for a dog. When I was growing up (and this was many moons ago) we has a family would go once a week. If I could give this 10 stars I would.

Actual working pharmacy coupled with old time diner where they play oldies on the radio made for a pretty decent time, but as packed as they were, I had hoped my food would be hot but it was just warm (my sliced cheese was not melted anyway). Overall it was OK, but mine tasted like I could do a better... More

The Dinglewood "scramble dog" is a classic that's been enjoyed locally for many years. It consists of cut up hot dogs, lotos of chili, a hotdog bun, oyster crackers and pickles. Some folks add onion and/or ketchup and mustard. It is a food item that you get a craving for and nothing else will do. The old time lunch counter... More

I've been working down in Columbus (from Central VA) for 20 years and the required stop everytime I'm in Columbus is "Dinglewoods"! Tuned on to the Scramble Dog when I first visited, it's been my favorite for years...a hot dog, cut in bite sized pieces smothered in chili and topped with a heaping pile of onions, oyster crackers and sliced...
