Good food but

I expected better. The salad was excellent and started the meal on a strong up note. The bread was corn bread; some with pecans. Getting into the main course is where we went down. The chicken breast just was not that good. The beans and sweet potatoes were excellent. The chicken breast was... read more

There is nothing about my experience during my visit to The Pecan Restaurant that makes me have a desire to ever return. Sorry!

Enjoyed a nice lunch with my husband and our moms at The Pecan today. As always, the food was on point! I enjoyed my crispy catfish with grits, it was delish. The moms got burgers, and agreed with me that you can't find a better seasoned burger anywhere. My husband liked, but was not bowled over, by his chicken sandwich.... More

This is a quaint little spot in College Park, not far from the airport. But the food is to die for, Chef Paul Lewis and his staff turn out beautiful dishes that are so delicious you will find yourself over eating, try the surf & surf special (lobster and crab cakes) or if you're not in the mood for seafood... A great little find while I was on a business trip in the area... Stopped in for lunch and had a wonderful salad, a wonton appetizer that had crab, shrimp, lobster, spinach and cream cheese and probably the best tilapia I have ever had! Lots of specials even for lunch... The best thing is that it is only a few... More

My fiance and I couldn't get a reservation on Valentine's Day but visited this location the day after on our way home for lunch. The atmosphere was great. Live saxophone player was awesome! We had brunch and the food was great. Our waiter was very informative and professional. We would definitely visit this location again when in the area.

My wife and I decided to visit this restaurant as part of our monthly date night. We made the table reservation in Open Table in the event that the place was crowded. Once we arrived, we were promptly seated and the server did an outstanding job presenting the menu. I ordered the Catfish and Grits as my entrée for the... More

If Pecan is the only "fine dining" available in College Park, then College Park still has not "fine dining". I have come to The Pecan for years dating back to when they did not have a liquor license and you were allowed to bring your own wine. There are no salt and pepper shakers on the tables...Fine restaurants do this... More

We were staying at the Marriott Airport for an early morning flight and were looking for a nice dinner nearby. This was perfect for us. Not institutional food or fast food. Good menu, nice wines, friendly service, attractive restaurant. It made our travel-dinner a special one. We will definitely return anytime we are staying at the airport overnight!

Got here around 8:00 PM on A Tuesday Evening. Was traveling with a business associate. The place is quaint and has a nice vibe. I was surprised at the atmosphere. Service was good. Knowledgeable but our server was at the mercy of the bar, very slow drink service and both drinks were not right. The food however, was incredible. I... More
