Should have paid attention to reviews

As others have said the service was slow in a laid back southern way, but this is Atlanta! I was going to have a beer, ideal with barbecue, but they only had hideously strong (11%+) brews so I had water instead. I chose the three piece pork plate with two sides, slaw and mac and cheese (4oz... read more

I just happened into this place staying down the street for a night and awaiting my wife's arrival...fine food, friendly staff and the owner gave me the royal tour and shared a few family secrets...I was raised on barbecue and have been to Nashville and Memphis and I do believe the King would give this a five star rating...seriously fall... I'll preface this review with the note that I cannot claim to be a southern BBQ expert or connoisseur. But my southern colleagues in our group of nine were equally satisfied, so Tony Morrow's version of BBQ is surely deserving of the praise. The restaurant, is on Main Street near the airport, and occasionally your conversation will be interrupted by... More

Dropped in this restaurant on our way to airport. First time my husband and I were carded in 40 years. Now I wonder if they just wanted to know we were from out of country so they could serve us their leftovers from the day before. My chicken was so overcooked and dry I could not cut it. The rest... I am new to Atlanta and I have decided to devote my free time to exploring the city. I stumbled across this amazing restaurant one day after getting off of the MARTA train in College Park. The enticing smell of the real pit BBQ reminded me of my favorite BBQ place in Miami. I walked in to the restaurant and... More

Great BBQ --simple--very close to airport and public transportation. Service with a smile-will be back.

We found this place while staying close to the Atlanta airport, and were very satisfied. It's a small rustic place meeting our expectations as a southern barbecue joint. The bartender, Melissa, was a true mixologist. Big generous drinks. My wife's lemon drop was the best she ever had and my gimlet was shaken and outstanding. I have read reviews that... More

Title says it all. Got there shortly after 12:00 pm and was told that the pulled pork plate BBQ wasn't ready yet. So, I went for the 'chopped beef' on platter (with cole slaw and mac-n-cheese). Service was pleasant - but really slow. The kitchen was slow. I appreciate the flavor of the meal - but it wasn't worth having... More

After reading reviews of this restaurant we were excited to try some of the bbq there. We loved the atmosphere immediately. It is in a great location and the decor is funky and what you would expect a bbq joint to look like. Sadly, the service was awful. We waited almost an hour for our food, then another 20 minutes...
