Food was okay, but somewhat lost my appetite when I moved the salt shaker to find a dead roach laying on the table... Also, took a bite of my macaroni to find that it was still frozen... Yes, frozen... Not sure how that constitutes fresh made food.

We found this restaurant quite by accident a fee years ago and make it a stop for their wonderful burgers and home made desserts whenever we are in the area.

I stopped at the Hollywood Diner yesterday while travelling through the area on business. At the beginning we were the only two people in the restaurant (other than a takeout order that finished right after we entered) and it still took 15 minutes for our order to be taken. I had the hamburger and it was average, not bad but... More

My sister remembered having a good meal at the Hollywood Diner, so, while driving from Dahlonega back to Clayton, we stopped here. It was an odd time between lunch and dinner (around 3:30 on a Saturday) and we were the only ones there, but we were warmly welcomed. I am normally a vegetarian, but my mom and sister encouraged me... More

I picked up my daughter from early dismissal one day and we stopped in for lunch. There were only two tables with customers - both already eating. There was one woman behind the counter. We sat in a booth and she took our drink order. We got our drinks...and sat, and sat...and sat. By the time I was antsy enough... More

We stopped in for lunch. Only two other tables of customers there. There was only one server. We sat there 15 minutes and she never even took our beverage order. When we left, server was on her cell phone.

My wife and I were out on the motorcycles saw a huge rain storm on the way home so we stopped in to avoid the weather. Ther was only one server during this time (around 1:00) VERY slow service. We ordered the special to make it easy on everyone and the food was just warm, tasted good but one would... More

My wife visited for lunch after a vegetable run to Clayton and had a nice lunch. We went back a few days later to fetch the Turvis Tumbler glass she carries everywhere and left here. The folks were kind enough to keep it for her AND we had a very nice lunch. Grouper sandwich was great.

Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after a visit to the state park. They had a Sunday special which was reasonably priced, plentiful and pretty good. This is a small town and I don;t think there are a lot of options, so this actually worked well. Service was a little slow, but they were very busy. The servers were so... More

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way to NC based on his rave reviews of the diner's roast beef that he previously enjoyed. Although the menu states that almost everything is made fresh, my meal was far from it. I ordered the popcorn shrimp meal with mac and cheese and applesauce as my sides. I wasn't expecting fresh... So sorry that you were disappointed in the macaroni and cheese and I only have 1 server working off season during the lunch as we are a tourist area and are not typically busy during off season lunches and I can assure you that she will be reprimanded for not meeting your expectations - she is new and obviously should...
