This is a nice place near the square in Clarkesville to stop for bbq. It's one of those places that always seems crowded, so you know the locals like it. The menu is large, with lots of choices for entrees and sides. Try the butter beans and the fried okra...they are excellent! There are several different sauces on the table... More

The service is great, and the food is good. I thought that the servings were fairly large. My husband got a full rack of ribs, and it was honestly close to a rack and a half. He couldn't eat it all. My side salad was larger than most restaurants as well. The sweet tea was awesome. From a true southern... More

I've been searching for years the best BBQ in North Georgia and other states. I've found one of my top ten favs - Hawg Wild in Clarkesville is in the category. Once you smell the Q here, you'll taste it too. So many joints have the smell but not the taste. The wife had a bison burger. Ok so I... More

Best chicken wings I have ever had. The wings are smoked and fried and tossed in your sauce of choice. Pulled pork was off the hook, just awesome. Going back for ribs...I will let you know how the are.

What a perfect lunch! Inspite of the fact that we arrived at 2:30 pm, our service and meal were excellent. Bryleigh was wonderful. My brother was delighted to be offered more rootbeer to his rootbeer float. My bbq pork was moist, tender, and tasty. I will return, happily:-)

Stopped by this place after a visit to Tallulah Gorge Falls which is outside of Clarkesville. There weren't many cars in the parking lot (it was about 4:30 pm) so we weren't sure it we'd made a good choice. Well, after one bite of the ribs, is was a resounding YES!!! These were by far the best ribs we have... More

The food is average and the portions are small for the price you pay. A family of 4 can expect to pay around $40 for lunch.

I have been several times and the meat is good. Small portions. Good hush puppies they put on the table at no cost. They have 5 sauces and I can't find one I like. Price is sorta expensive.

Our last visit to Hawg Wild was four years ago, and we looked forward to our return often. We were not disappointed, and the food was as good as we remembered it. We started off with the excellent complimentary hush puppies. My wife had pulled chicken with cole slaw and onion rings. Everything was perfect, and the onion rings are... More

We decided to have dinner at the Hawg Wild BBQ one night in Clarksville. The restaurant was not very busy and they first seated us at a table they had to clean off. The seats were sticky and there was trash on the floor so we asked to be seated at another table. Luckily our server, Shanda C was on... More
