Hands down, the best restaurant in Gilmer County. I always have grilled chicken with a baked sweet potato and salad. Everything has been top notch every time I've been there.

My husband and I just moved to Jasper and we were out exploring all the BBQ places near the area and Pink pig was definitely our least favorite. Food was bad. The brisket and pulled pork seemed to be reheated. It was chewy and dry. Burnswick stew tasted like water and the Mac and cheese was very very blend. Super... More

We did both Pooles and the Pink Pig on the same day for comparison! At the Pink Pig, we visited in the evening for dinner. We were treated to fresh smoked meats that stood alone in taste without needing BBQ sauce. And that was good simply because the sauces were a hit/miss. The one was way to strong if vinegar... More

I really wanted to go here for lunch, wound up hitting the place for just a snack! Excellent southern atmosphere, and chickens wondering around the parking lot. The waitress was friendly and gracious, also bought some cool t-shirts as gifts. And the tea and nanna puddin were tastee as can be!

A small bar-b-que with a great personality. It has been in busuness since the 60's and the food is amazing. I had the ribs, The ribs were falling off the bone tender and the sauce us to die for. I highly recommend and if you don't try it , it is your loss. It is a short drive form Blue... More

We had lunch here today. I have had better BBQ and I have had much worse BBQ. I had pulled/chopped pork sandwich. The flavor was decent and I enhanced it with their BBQ sauce. It's a vinegar based sauce so beware if you don't care for that type sauce. I found it to be good myself. The sandwich plate comes... More

The good: Onion rings were excellent; Sweet potato fries were good; BBQ Beans good. The bad: BBQ brisket was chopped; the pulled pork had little/no hint of being smoked and was dry; brunswick stew average. The ugly: the two BBQ sauces available were a sweet tomato base and very vinegary tomato base - tolerable if mixed together. Prices were moderate... More

We rented a cabin in Cherry Log for spring break and this restaurant was mentioned several times by prior tenants. The Pink Pig is a very down home family style Southern BBQ place. The wait staff was friendly and kept our drinks filled. I had the pulled pork and it was delicious as were the sweet potato fries and the... More
