We stopped by The Pink Pig for BBQ while staying in Ellijay, and were disappointed with the food. The pork was dry and cold when served, and I am pretty sure it made me sick. The sides were mediocre at best and rolls were better off not served to anyone. The only reason this was rated a two instead of... More

Overall my experiences here have been very good. Service and food both good. They are better than average in my view, so I give them very good overall. Never had a problem of any kind, so it has been and was this last visit a good experience. Open on Sunday so that is a plus, because many local BBQ places... More

I hadn't eaten here for a few years, mainly because it's just doesn't come to mind when I am craving bar-b-que. Today, I found myself in the area and that familiar craving hit so I thought I would stop in for a bite. Local legend says that this was President Jimmy Carter's favorite restaurant when he was fishing in the... More

We were so excited to finally find a real BBQ joint while out and about. We searched and read reviews on several sites. Most of the reviews were good, so we went for it! We should've stayed at home and fired up our own smoker. I got the smoked chicken 1/2 and it was so dry it was borderline petrified.... More

The first thing that sticks out is the friendliness of the staff at the Pink Pig. Everyone seemed to want to make sure we were taken care of. The waitress recommended the garlic salad, and I'm glad I took her up on it. Now, I will recommend it too... TRY THE GARLIC SALAD! It's nothing fancy, just lettuce and carrots... More

We always travel with our dogs and it's important for us to find places that allow us to eat with our dogs, whether it's on the deck, inside the place or on picnic tables. The Pink Pig has picnic tables out back under shade trees and it was the perfect place to spend an afternoon having a nice meal with... More

We visited the Pink Pig the night before our departure back to Illinois. The rustic decor is authentic and comfy. I had the fried chicken with Brunswick Stew and potato salad. Wonderful, tasty and more than I could eat ( I'm a firefighter)! We split a garlic salad and loved it. My wife had the pork with sweet potato fries.... More

We come to the area a few times a year and a visit to the Pink Pig is a must for my family! The food is excellent. The service is friendly and we always take home a jar of garlic dressing. Every member of my family proudly wears their Pink Pig shirts.

The Pink Pig has always been a favorite of mine and I have eaten there many times over the years, however today's visit was a bad experience. The onion rings were over cooked and too greasy. My barbecued chicken was cold in the middle which tells me that it was cooked ahead of time and microwaved. The chicken and the... More
