Really good BBQ

My husband I was sent here by locals after asking where to get good bbq. It was easy to find and they was very welcoming. It is a small place and we got there at a good time right after dinner so I could imagine you would wait a little bit if you come while they are busy. The restaurant... read more

We eat at the Pick PIg in Cherry Log often and sometimes plan our trips down 515 to coincide with the days the PInk Pig is open. The staff is always pleasant and courteous, the service prompt and the food well prepared. My wife especially likes the chicken livers, both fried and grilled and the sweet potato fries, which come... More

Our Realtor, Melinda Hadden, told us about the Pink Pig and said we had to go try it out. She was so right, this was the best BBQ I've ever had. The atmosphere is fun and light, reminding you of one of those old road side cafe's you would have found back in the hay day of road travel. We... More

Unique and quaint setting. Not easy to find, but worth the effort. Food was good. We've been there before when in the area, and it seems like the portions have gotten smaller. It might be a function of us getting there late in the evening. I ordered the large portion and I left hungry.

The title is intended as funny, I understand culture shock and respect it. It is just funny that when you sit for BBQ and ask for a beer, the first thing that came out of the server was,

They have raised their prices significantly and even charge for metallic water. Used to be very good now I'll pass. The salad dressing is an up charge for garlic. I had the fried chicken livers this round and wasted most of them. They were burnt, the backed potato was only half baked. The whole meal and experience was poor. Will... More

We've been to the Pink Pig quite a bit. In fact, when out-of-towners come to visit, we usually take them there for BBQ and/or Garlic Salad. But when my wife and I went today, we were very disappointed. The menu items have all gone up in price. OK. Not a big deal really. But The Pink Pig now charges $0.35... More

This place had a lot of buzz but we found it to be unremarkable. We ordered the onion rings but they were more batter then onions. Very crunchy but no sweet onion taste. The entrée was the pork sandwich and the chicken and pork plate formerly pork and beef. We found the meat to be dry. Sides were good but... More
