Great dim sum and food

We went for a later lunch this weekend here. It was my first time, but we went with friends who are regulars. The food did not disappoint. The dim sum was fantastic. We ordered lo mein for our kids and two regular meals to split up. Some of the best Mongolian beef I have ever had. Overall, we were... read more

My wife and I went for dim sum today at our favorite place. The dim sum is absolutely fantastic. It is fresh, tasty, not greasy and out of this world. If you like dim sum or just regular Chinese food, look no further. We have to say for desert you must get the egg custard tarts and the sesame balls.... More

I am not an expert in Dim Sum, however, i am very aware if a place is dirty. As i walked to the table my shoes we sticking to the carpet and I was disgusted. I worry that if they are comfortable with me seeing their filthy dining room, what is behind the kitchen doors? The food was below average,... More

The key to good dim sum, in my opinion, is freshness and turnover and it just doesn't happen as well on weekdays. The food was fine, but hard to rate above 3 stars. Variety was also a bit lacking, which was understandable.

Comfort and dining is not something you get there. The furniture were old and the wood rotted. The carpet needs a good shampoo job. The whole place needs a deep cleaning. They will not pass the health grade by the cdc. One of the workers sneezed in the "to go" box and handed it to me. I politely declined the... More

Went to Canton House on a Friday night. Was a little busy , but staff was handling it. Dim sum was as good as expected, though didn't have the courage to try the chicken feet. Good egg drop soup, but entree's were disappointing. Did have a good Salt & pepper squid , but everything else was bland. Have had better.... More

Saturday and Sunday only review. Order the sea food chow fun with gravy for the table and pick a few items off the cart. If you are a Newby, stick with any thing made with shrimp. Excellent. Ask for hot mustard, hoisin, and duck sauce on the side. Don't forget to use a little of the hot oil condiment table... More

I've been curious about Dim Sum and Dumplings, I read that Canton House was the best in the area. I just don't get it, the offerings were very bland, the sauces served were good and that improved things. I think this has more to do with my taste for the food and not the quality of the food.

For 20 years this has been the best restaurant for Dim Sum. Not only do they serve the traditional food on numerous carts but are continuously adding new items for the customer to try. They are quite patient and pleasantly describe dishes that are not familiar. It's los of fun with lots of people but is also pleasant dining alone.

I hear that this is as good as dim sum gets here in Atlanta. The format is fine with push carts and the selection is ok too. They start daily at 10am and for the whole day. The taste and look of the dim sum items are not quite right. It is 80% of the classic but just not quite... More
