Ate here while staying at the quality inn. Great food. Just walking distance. Best seafood we had. When we are in the area we will eat here again.

So many times you see restaurants along the expressway and wonder about the food and service. I was doubtful about this little shack, but as it turned out, it delivered some of the best seafood I have had in a very long time. This is being said after spending 6 days in Nassau, then an additional 7 days on a... More

We ate Sunday dinner here on the suggestion of the hotel front desk clerk as a favorite of hers. The seafood selection is good and can be ordered served fried, grilled or broiled. My husband ordered the fried oysters, but when they arrived the cornmeal seasoning was too hot for his taste. The waitress had the order replaced with one... More

My husband and I went to Captain Jack's after hearing from several people that the food is delicious. We were not disappointed! He got the blackened grouper and fried shrimp, corn on the cob and slaw. He enjoyed all of it. I got the fried shrimp, scallops and catfish filet with baked potato and green beans. All of the seafood... More

Some of the best crab legs ever. One in our group had the NY strip and it was cooked to perfect medium. Good place to eat right off I75

We gave this a try based on prior reviews. Service was great, but the food was way too greasy for our taste. Did not care for the grouper fish tacos, the tortillas were soggy and limp, and they were greasy. Mango salsa and coleslaw were tasty, Calamari was tough and greasy, catfish sandwich was ok. Red beans and rice were... More

Loved it so much I got gift cirt. for my friends for here. The atmosphere is a good, the people were great, and the menu was outstanding. You would do yourself a great disservice if you like fresh seafood if you miss this one!

What was I thinking. Actually, just jumped in for a late dinner and I was looking for something lighter - the bartender said they were good. A little heavy on the cole slaw but other than that they were tasty. Salad was good - dressings home made. A few different beers on tap which was nice and the bartender was... More

while traveling to Tennessee for our weekend getaway we decided to stop at the Captain Jack's Seafood Shack after seeing several billboards. We had a party of four and two of us ordered the grouper platter. The fish was tasty and the breading flavorful. As a lifelong fisherman I am convinced it was tilapia as a previous reviewer indicated. The... More
