We rode here with another couple. We wanted to sit outside because its real dark on the inside. We placed our drink order and it came out fast. We decided to hold off on our food order for a few minutes. I think that was a mistake as they got busier. We decide to order and could not find our... More

I had not been there in a few years, the food was good burgers & chicken tenders (real, not frozen) could use more servers but other than that very pleasant visit.

Awesome food! Really just a "hole-in-the-wall" kind of place but the people were real nice and the food was "off the hook!" More money in that parking lot in "Big-Boy-Toys" then boats/ships on Lake Lanier! (I wish all the people on Lake Norman who think they have a boat could see that LAKE and those BOATS!

A perfect Saturday night on the lake, had to include a stop at the Big Creek Tavern! We squezed into their dock of a dozen boats, really only holds maybe 7. Then we took the treak up the hill to outdoor bar for some drinks while a guy sung a variety of songs - quite intertaining. We then got seated... More

Big Creek is a hole in the wall and not a fancy spot. But, wow...the grilled chicken salad and the fried grouper sandwich were fantastic! The onion rings and special sauce were yummy as well. I'm not sure what breading they use on the fish, but it was crunchy and tasty. The salad was huge and full of freshly grilled... More

I've enjoyed the food and live entertainment at Big Creek over the years. The food has the usual bar fare but they also have some very delightful and surprisingly delicious things to try. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is completely dive. Love it!

Because of the reviews, I was expecting great food but what I got was: good food at lake lanier prices. We had the boiled shrimp appetizer (half a pound for around $12-$13) which were large shrimp sprinkled with a seasoning that tasted similar to "old bay". I would have prefered Lawry's seasoning or a homemade seasoning or none over the... More

This place has been around awhile. When you go, you have to try the chicken fingers and hashbrowns. Yummy!

Stopped in for dinner and wasn't disappointed. We each had the special which was Tilapia with a crab stuffing and a few drinks. If you don't like a smoking environment (ex-smokers that we are), you may not like this place, but we found it bearable
