Not what it was advertised as

We pulled into the place finally after finding it and there were no lights on ! Not sure if it had closed but it looked a bit spooky so we turned around and got out of there!

If you like a fishing village ambiance this has it. Nice deck on the water. Crab stew is wonderful - nice and thick! Sweet potato fries good too - but could be a little crisper.

A good lunch can be had at Mudcat's, consistent quality each and every time we've visited. I've never had anything but Groper for lunch, you can have that any way you want it prepared. Also, add the onion rings and you will have more than enough to eat. Folks get a bit "picky" about plastic plates & silverware, and the... More

Fresh local seafood served in good sized portions. Beautiful waterfront view of the Altamaha River. Very generously poured cocktails. Disposable dinnerware is used because of the water restriction by being so close to the river and not being able to be on a municipal system. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

We arrived to a pretty good crowd, but were immediately seated. We were seated on the enclosed porch area, and it was quite chilly. Took a little while before our server arrived, but once she came by (Anna) was great. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. Once Anna returned, my husband ordered the Shrimp Dinner with a salad... More

They purchased silverware, but still use disposable plates. The should update the bathroom. We didn't care--the food is outstanding. We usually stop at Skipper's Fish Camp, but thought we would stop here and compare. This is now our favorite Darien Restaurant. The prices are less here. There's a beautiful view of the river and we enjoyed the Federal Water Police... More

Plastic plates, cups, bowls, I do not understand! Ok food, good service. I do not understand all the previous reviews. Surely there has to be somewhere better in Brunswick!

We had a nice lunch, but prefer Marshside Grill. The crab stew was good, the onion ring fantastic. My fish and chips was above average as was the crab cake sandwich. The overall wow factor was not there compared to Marshside though.

My husband and I went there for lunch on a weekday. The atmosphere and wait staff were friendly and welcoming, The food was tasty and reasonably priced. I had a shrimp po-boy; my husband the oyster one. We each added on fries/onion rings for an addition 95 cents. The restaurant is located at a wharf on the Altahama River which... More

Great atmosphere, okay food. Wonderful views of the Altamaha river. Watch out if you order blackened. They may overdo it.
