I had never had hush puppies before. These were delicious. The location was very near the coast. Service was very friendly.

We found Mudcat Charlie's on our drive back from Florida based on the reviews here. I am glad we found it, as we had an enjoyable meal away from national chains. It may not look like it is near the Interstate if you look at a map, but it really was no further than 5 minutes from the exit. It... More

Mudcat Charlie's has some of the best seafood available in Glynn County. It is located on Alapaha River at Two Way Fish Camp,It is easily accessible by land or by boat. Great fresh fish shrimp, and sides. I have been eating here for over 20 years I believe.

We went to Darien for the Blessing of the Fleet this past Sunday. Mudcat Charlie's is very close to Darien and several local residents suggested it for a table service luncheon. I ordered the fried shrimp and oyster combination with a salad and French fries. The salad greens, while cold, were not crisp; clearly the salad had been made several... More

Located at the Two Way Fish Camp - either fresh water or salt water fishing - on Route 17, also known as the Coastal Highway. Closer to Darien than Brunswick. Food is not fancy but it's very good and plentiful; the service is great. My favorites are the grilled shrimp and fillet or the fish sandwich. You won't go away... More

On US 17 just north of Brunswick, it is at a marina on a river close to the sea. Has good seafood to match the location and the average price you would expect for a good seafood place

We ate here for lunch. It is quite out of the way and not easy to find. Thanks to GPS finding it was no trouble for us! We read the reviews. First impressions were that this is a place were local people go. Not an inspiring building, but on the river and marina. Food was very well cooked. We had... More

It ain't fancy, so if that's what you want Mudcat Charlie's ain't for you. Let's face it, if you wanted a swanky place, it's first name would be Ritz-something, not Mudcat-something, right? But, if you would like a decent lunch and a cold beer while sitting in the sun at the marina dock, or inside in the A/C, this is... More

Stopped on my way back to Savannah from a business trip in Brunswick. I'd been reading reviews here(tripadvisor) recently of seafood eateries in Darien so I was excited, even though I didn't have my list of places with me. I chose this place blindly. I had the grilled shrimp dinner. The first bite left a bad taste in my mouth.... More
