Really good burgers

Stopped here after a day on the river. The burgers are really, really good. They are HUGE. I cannot even fathom eating a double decker. If we eat here again, I will likely try to split one with a family members. The shakes are also good, as are the cheese sticks. The cheese fries come with... read more

The cheeseburgers are large, meaty and full of flavor! The buns are soft and fresh! The fries and onion rings are typical of most hamburger diners. The highlight was Sue! She is just a delight. She told us the story of how she and her husband started the restaurant almost 40 years ago. Sue obviously loves what she does and... More

What a great place! The burgers were huge and cooked to perfection. The freshest lettuce and tomatoes topped the burger. The tater tots were crispy and yummy. My son who doesn't eat beef and is SUPER picky had chicken fingers and ate every bite. Yes you do need cash, but it is well worth the stop!

Have been eating at Sue's for more than seven years, and until recently has been consistently good...even great most of the time. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case. Appears they have changed their meat for the burgers? At a minimum, they have new cooks, and the result is highly disappointing. Burgers are dry, and overcooked. Fries grease soaked. Numerous... Burgers were cooked past our requests for medium--they were more like well done, but they still had flavor for being overcooked. The order took a very long time to come up, even though there were fewer than 10 people in the whole place. A little churchy for our tastes with the spiritual/jesus stuff all over the place. Staff was friendly.

We stopped in I had the Mountain Burger with bacon cheese, bbq sauce and onion rings. My wife had a cheeseburger with cheese fries. The burgers were like whoppers on steroids. The fries and tater tot portions were sizable as well. I recommend going in there with am appetite. They also had fresh baked cakes and milkshakes. I would go... More

Stopped in and got an all the way burger and onion rings. My wife got a burger plate with slaw and fries. The burgers were awesome. The fries were good and the onion rings were ok. The burger was as large as a whopper patty in diameter and twice as thick. The toppings were very good and added a lot... More

We make a trip here everytime we are staying in Blue Ridge. The homemade hamburgers and french fries are very good. Lot better than fast food burgers.

Sue's gets your food to you as quickly as they can cook it to order...and it's WORTH the short wait! I've eaten here many, many times over the years--almost from the time they opened. I'd come here on visits home to see my parents, and then moved back to the Blue Ridge area full time in 2005. I'd say we... More

Walked in on a Wednesday afternoon. I didn't see hours posted and wanted to make sure it wasn't closing time. The girls behind the counter ignored me and were unprofessional. Also this place only takes cash and has a small sign advertising it so keep that in mind.
