This was our first visit to downtown Blue Ridge. We thought the Whistle Stop would be a quick lunch for the 6 of us. 20 min's after ordering, they came to the table to tell my husband they were out of what he ordered, my son ordered a cheeseburger with lettuce, he got a dried up burger, no cheese, no... This is more of a pub than restaurant. Their wings and fruit bowl were excellent - burger was not so good. The service was very - very slow but the waitress was very friendly. We were there at lunch and they weren't very busy - I can only imagine how long we would have had to wait if they had... More

We got seated fairly quickly but there was not many people there...mostly people seated at the bar. That was about it....we waited 10 mins and watched waitress after waitress walk by. No one acknowledged us at all. Pretty much summed it up so we left. Could be a great place but they need better management or something.

But for the fact that their location is next to a tourist attraction of "don't know any better" customers, this place would probably have closed by now. We went for dinner on a Tuesday around 5:00 and there was one waitress handling the entire place. The food was beyond awful. My husband and I looked at my daughter's hot dog... More

Went for a quick snack in the afternoon. I had Brunswick stew and it was OK. My granddaughter had a burger and I had a bite. Very good! Set up for live music at night and looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Stopped in to watch a college football game that followed the FL/GA game (big crowd). Once game was over I asked and was told by two different persons behind the bar that they could and would accommodate my wife and I by turning the game we requested on. When it came time to change the TV as agreed, (positioned directly... More

We stop in for lunch on a Saturday. Nice bar so we sat there and ordered some local drafts. The Tocca Brown is pretty good. Decided on some Fried Green Tomatoes to start. Service was good and quick. Tomatoes were tasty. I decided on a Turkey Club while the wife went with a Philly Cheese steak. Side of Onion rings... More

We were very hungry and thirsty after our afternoon boat ride. We were greeted promptly. Our drinks were never empty. The chili cheese fries were amazing! All of our meals were delicious! Very good food. Very good service. Best place we've been in 3 days!
