A Lot of Things Are Right

This restaurant has seemingly remained unaltered over the nearly 30 years that I've lived in the Orlando area. The same is the case with their menu. The food is good, but I know people have asked regularly at breakfast if there is turkey or chicken sausage or turkey bacon, and they still don't care... read more

Sorry; We are closed for dinner...is what they advertised. This is a Just breakfast and lunch Place with excellent location at iconic Park Ave in Winter apark, that had neither changed nor modified its menu offer since we were there first time, as tourist, long- long time ago. Briarpatch is a cute small place with a never changing menu, therefore... More

I was down in Florida visiting for Mother’s Day (yup, I’m a nice daughter), and while my time was limited, my parents are always ok to tag along with me for some food stops. I also need to mention that it was in the mid 90’s, so it was 100% ice cream weather. So, I stopped by one of my... More

I wrote to the owner of Briar Patch to complain about the attitude of the manageress. I have not had a reply so I think it is only fair now to air my grievances here. My son, his wife and their baby, my wife and I went to Briar Patch for breakfast. We ordered drinks, coffees and orange juices and... More

Very much enjoyed a Sunday brunch at Briar Patch. Had a sidewalk table that has been dried off after a passing shower. Started with a Bloody Mary and has the apple, ham and cheese omelet. Service was iffy but they were busy.

Come patient, there will be a crowd. The Briar Patch is a popular breakfast spot and deservedly so. The menu is diverse and delicious. My wife and I have eaten here several times of the past few months. Their Benedicts are great, as are their omelets, waffles, and muffins. Our servers have always been cheerful, efficient, and helpful, even when... More

I had eggs, bacon and toast for $15.00 and my wife the Belgium waffle for $13.00 plus 2 coffees and tip came out to $50.00. On top of that I was still hungry. This place sucks! Won't be back

Have been here many times. The queues at lunch time can be horrific but it is well located on Park Avenue and very popular for locals. The outside seating makes it very attractive although there are also plenty of tables inside. The food is fairly good, standard American with the Eggs Benedict being particularly notable. Portions can be extremely generous... More

I've been here probably a dozen times... Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. Multiple times they've been out of many menu items, and when they do have items in they aren't always great. We have had a few good experiences, but it just isn't consistent enough.

The Briar Patch is fortunate that it has a great location being in financially stable Winter Park, FL. We started breakfast off with a Mimosa for my date and Bloody Mary for me, $9.95 each. Breakfast plates cost us about $11.50 to $12. 50 each. The food was good but nothing memorable. The place has a lot of tables in... More
