For being in an iffy location, and having dated decor, but lots of clients, you would think that the food would be reasonably priced and/or really good food. The prices are high, and the food was average at best. My sauteed scallops were slightly underdone, with no seasoning to speak of. Both sauces they brought me were tasteless. My wife... More

This has been a favorite since the mid-sixties, when we enter the side door as members of Bobby's Club, around 11pm. Now we there for the early bird..The staff is excellant . I still order a vodka martini up w/olive, but now I like it a little dirty. I like the bread basket ,grilled grouper, fried zucchini, twice backed potato.I... More

Thought it would be OK to dine here as in the past. No Florida lobsters on hand although offered on menu. Red Snapper was doubtfully that. ...and looked microwaved. Also pre-frozen. What happened to his iconic former seafood restaurant? Never going back.

Although the décor is a bit tired and the recipes are not as eclectic as one can get on Las Olas, Old Florida Seafood House offers very good, fresh seafood. Upon walking into the establishment, I was a bit uncertain as it is dated and bordering on dingy. Yet I was greeted by a very hospitable host and thereafter a... More

Hadn't been here for awhile, so I was excited to take my family and enjoy the great meals they always used to have. What a disappointment!! When we were seated, the hostess told us that our waitress had a few things to finish up and she would be with us in 8-10 minutes. Not really what you want to hear... More

I have lived a great part of my life in south Florida... recently tried an old favorite and was very disappointed. None of us thought the fish or shrimp was fresh. It tasted to be prepackaged and frozen. The side dishes were just awful... the coleslaw tasted like something you would pick up at the supermarket, the tartar sauce was... More

Took family for a special meal with living social deal. Food was fast food quality for a huge price. Son actually got sick from kids fish meal and threw up all night. Was not an experience I will repeat. Service wasn't good and food was cooked to rubber and cold. Under new owners, not the same as before!

The service was atrocious, the food took one hour in a half and it came out COLD. When we asked why the food was taking so long the waiter stated " because you ordered wine, I thought you would like to enjoy the wine first." We asked to speak with a Manager, the hostess came over saying she was the... More

Years ago I loved old Florida sea food. Now sad to say the dinner was really horrible the creamed spinach was horrible the only good thing was the bread the wine and the waitress. The shrimp was rubbery tasting and the coleslaw was old and aweful. Go else where. Not worth the cost. This is not a good representation of... More

My partner ordered Tilapia (don’t remember the sauce, guess it was unmemorable), in his words.. “Tasteless”, “Overcooked”, “Frozen Food”. In my words.. “Tiny portions for that price & I’ve bought those potatoes in the frozen food section”. Come on, You can’t get a FRESH baked potato to look like that with 2 people working in the kitchen. It was MICROWAVED... More
