My friend and I arrived for an early evening reservation to this quaint, charming location. Our server was pleasant and attentive. I was drawn to ordering the Seafood platter because of the southern flair. It was served with a fried green tomato, cheese grits and coleslaw. I ordered it blackened and the catfish was the best I ever had. The... More

This place is tiny -seats just over 40- so you need a reservation. Great home made southern favorites! Not cheap but not expensive either. Have yet to have something I didn't love. Make sure to save room for dessert. Some of the best I've ever had!

My wife and I stopped in for a late lunch and chose this restaurant from Trip Advisor, and we are glad we did! Cold sandwiches sounded good for a June day in the mid 90's. Amy had the meatloaf and I had the chicken salad. The side salad with house dressing was very tasty; a vinaigrette with pecans, strawberry, cheese,... More

BobAmy, Thank you so very much for your kind review. Southern Hospitality is what I strive for. I wanted everyone to feel like they were at grandma's for a family gathering. Please ask for me when you return. I'd love to chat. Miz Kathi Owner, Cotillion Southern Cafe More

It is a lovely restaurant, the food is great... but just had a second terrible time trying to make a reservation. After the person answered, I was put on hold and waited and waited and waited. So I figured they didn't want mu business and hung up! I'll think twice now about recommending them to my friends.

I'm sorry you were put on hold and left hanging. If you could give us the day and time of your call I can address this with the appropriate staff member. It is certainly not our practice to place someone on hold without responding in a reasonable time. Not sure if you called on Monday but our phones were being... More

I live near enough to the Cotillion to eat there regularly and normally enjoy taking visitors, but today a visiting friend and I were subject to a young male server with long, dark sideburns and gootee, reportedly named Joey, who was unwelcoming, disinterested, surly, just plain rude, and borderline nasty. He rolled his eyes, made faces, and was in general... More

I appreciate and take serious all feedback. It concerns me deeply you did not have the experience you are accustomed to at The Cotillion. I would like to personally apologize for this and want to assure you this is not the way our staff normally conducts themselves, as you stated in the review. Our staff is trained to promote an... Thankfully I know enough people in the Villages that I am guarantees to be back at this restaurant in the next year. Everything our group ordered was fresh and delicious. I ordered the salad with blueberries and orange segments and also tried the chicken salad. So good! I was "warned" about dessert but how can you resist? We ordered four... More

Small town restaurant. Seating arrangement very tight.conversations will not be private. Service is great, and the staff is super friendly. We ordered the chicken & waffles and the baked mac & cheese. Both were great! The mac & cheese was a little too greasy for me, but it is a cheese dish, so it was to be expected. Although the... More

On Main Street. Great food at modest prices. Portions are decent and food is prepared upon ordering. Pleasant decor early 50's. Wait staff in full aprons and very helpful. Reservations a must. There is a cafe and their bakery a few doors down from the restaurant that sells not only food but giffy items and of course, a Cotillion Southern... More

Our goal on vacation is to eat local and unique. This place was amazing! As soon as we walked in all the kids sighed "wow". It is the epitemy of southern charm. I was concerned it was going to be expensive because of the atmosphere, real China and real linens. My other concern was....crap, this is not for kids and... More

We were visiting friends in the villages and decided to try this place for lunch. The decor is very quaint with old southern memorabilia all throughout. The service was prompt. The food was unique and delicious. The desserts were plentiful and lovely. The sweet potatoe fries were the best we have ever had.
