I dined on a Friday night and they were dead. The atmosphere was horrible. It looked old and nothing matched. Don't trust the pictures above. I didn't see one table cloth. I felt as if I was dining in a Pizza Hut based on the glasses and silverware. Very cheap. The prices were actually good based on the portion sizes... More

We went only for pizza and salad, which was very good. The service was ok, but the small staff needs better training. If I lived closer I would return, as this place is very good for locals. If we are in the neighborhood, or near the Norton Museum, we may try the dinners. Could be worth a try.

Terrible dining experience. Inattentive wait staff and long wait for apps and meals. Apps were overdone and lasagna was nothing better than you'd buy at the supermarket in a box. Pizza was okay but not worth the 45 minute wait and large bill

We recently dined a bit early on a Saturday evening and were the only ones there. The service was not on track yet but we weren't in a hurry. The owner/chef actually came out eventually (he had sent the waiter (his son) on an errand) and took our order. An inexpensive Chianti proved delightful but the big surprise came when... More

I had not been to Ambrosia in a long time. I used to live in West Palm Beach and was visiting with some friends. So we saw Ambrosia and remembered my many lunch experiences there. We went in and it was nearly empty (on a weekday evening). We were not greeted at the door and at first we thought it... More

This restaurant is wonderful and the food taste homemade. The owner is there to make sure everything is done right and greets you as you walk into the door.

One thing lost by moving to the north end of Palm Beach County is the access to many of my favorite restaurants. One of those being the Ambrosia. It should be of no surprise that when one of my friends asked me and my wife to join he and his wife for dinner, I asked if we could go to... More

We moved up to WPB from Broward with a penchant for red sauce Italian places. We thought we had found one in Ambrosia, but sadly, we were mistaken. The restaurant is oddly laid out and the food is subpar. The people were nice but, sorry, the food tasted like easy mac cheese with ragu. Would not recommend.

I was craving one of their veal dishes and the table behind us had ordered a meatball float. All plans went out the window. I have not had good meatball float in 40 years since Nick sold Savoia Restaurant to the army mess cook that destroyed the place. After enduring years of crappy meatball hoagies that have more bread crumbs... More

Excellent Italian food without the pretense. It's the kind of local place you always hope to find. It's right behind the Norton Museum.
