Very popular, old school Italian place -decent value

Open for lunch and dinner, Stressa has a very familiar menu -all the traditional standards are there. I ate there with 2 others and we all ordered the prix fixe menu which includes soup AND salad and dessert. The eggplant parmigiana was fine, covered in red sauce and a mass of cheese -not the best... read more

This has got to be the BEST Italian restaurant to which I have ever been. The atmosphere is very nice. Quiet, comforting. Our waitress was wonderful. And the food, oh the food. The menu is not overly large but has plenty of choices to satisfy any hankering. The portions are not large as in your typical chains but quite enough... More

we dined here once, about 2 years ago, and would not return unless serious changes were made. The food was barely average tasting, portions small, service snooty, and when we had the nerve to ask for butter vs the margarine they provide with the bread, the waiter said there was no butter in the restaurant. After insisting, he brought out... More

I just had a delightful lunch here today with some friends - the food was excellent and the service was very nice. So I was surprised to see the negative reviews. I had the cannoli - the filling was very flavorful with a smooth texture. The sauce was yummy and I did everything but lick the plate. One friend had... More

As another reviewer said "neither very good nor very bad". This was the first time I was there though my dinner companion had been here a while ago. Large menu so everyone will find something. The evening we visited, the place was busy with early diners- those early bird specials really bring the senior citizens in this time of the... More

This was our 3rd visit - but it wasn't the charm. Companion spilled his 1/2 full martini and our waiter gave us no satisfaction except to buy another drink. (The owner later took it off our bill.) Our waiter then turned us over to another guy, who later turned us over to a nice woman. My bread plate had a... More

Old school decorated Italian restaurant. Dark walls & white tablecloths. Very charming older male waiters. Typical Italian menu. Pasta, veal & some fish. Good soup with beans. Nice home made bread. All pasta dishes are good. Eggplant parm is cheesy & flavorful.

I had not been to this place in years because I had a bad experience with a waiter a number of years ago. But my parents loved this place (past tense), so I went back with them. Returning this past week, I found the food just as bland as it always was and the service was possibly even worse than... More

We used to love this place. It was our "go to" Italian restaurant in the Palm Beaches. But while the food is still good, some of the wait staff are horrible. I say this with a great deal of reluctance because some of the waiters have been at Stresa for a long time and are excellent. Our recent experience was... More
