Best local place in town

I've been eating at Nick's for about 14 years. I'm sure I've been there well over 500 times. The food is very good, as is the service. When I walk in they know who I am and they know my beverage of choice - half sweet half unsweet tea. The menu has a nice variety of choices. The brownies are... read more

Went here on a Friday morning around 10 am before a business meeting. The place had quite a few patrons but it wasn't packed. I got the country fried steak, 2 eggs grits and toast. Came out very quick and it was fresh. Portion was a good size and it was tasty. The gravy on the steak was some of... More

I discovered Nick's Diner located off of Okeechobee Blvd. and 95 a few years back. I was looking for a place for Breakfast on a Sunday Morning and asked someone in my community. You must go to Nick's they said. The Diner has the theme from the fifties and a very friendly staff. They make you feel comfortable the minute... More

We had Rueben and Grilled Cheese. Sandwiches were good, service was very good and price was fair. Menu specials include some interesting items.

In town for an LAX tourney and found this little gem. 1 - great service, we were greeted quickly by some who took our drink order, and tge introduced to Kat, our server. She did a great job and explained what the specials were. I grabbed #2, an omelet with pastrami, pictured below, it was great! 2 - did I... More

Please don't go here!! It's already busy enough. Good coffee but sometimes waitress gets a little to happy and keeps refilling coffee. Forcing you to add more sugar and cream

For a true diner experience, Nicks does not disappoint. The menu selection is great, the food is tasty, and the service is always great. Because Nicks is a popular restaurant, it is usually bustling during the morning or lunch hours, but the wait is worth it (and not really that long). The waitresses are hustlers and obviously aim to please.... More

Looking for something new, not cookie cutter and not fast bag lunch either. Had the luck to see the sign on the building as I got off I95 onto Okeechobee Blvd. They were only open for less than another hour but we didn't feel rushed, more like welcomed. Waitress and staff were on the ball. Food was good and the... More

I've eaten at Nick's a couple of times. Good breakfast and burger. Certainly, way better than the chains like Ihop or Denny's. It's always busy, which is a good sign. The parking is easy and free. And the servers are fast, friendly and attentive. My kids liked it more than I did; which makes it nice for a late breakfast... More
