Homecooked quality seafood

I just recently discovered Joey's Seafood Shack. We expected a restaurant or a diner and this happens to be a deli/small store/restaurant combination. We were very pleased with service, food was also great. We had a broiled mahi with wild rice and garlic pen seared swordfish as well as lobster... read more

Mediocre service; owner had an attitude that was very off-putting. Salmon special was mediocre--not warm enough. Second time for us to visit this restaurant. The first time we went we were double billed for our wine. We will not go back again.

This is a retail fish store that opens 2 nights per week for dining. Seating is quite limited. Pretty much jammed into a small space. Reservations a must. We had 4 of us - split decision as 2 enjoyed the meal, 1 neutral and 1 very disappointed. All agreed salad served w entree had too much dressing. And waiter didn't... More

We stopped in to purchase fresh fish & decided to stay for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised. It is a small seafood market/restaurant. They had linen table clothes on the tables & large wine glasses with a very generous pour. I had shrimp salad served over a green salad with balsamic vinegarette & my husband had the lobster salad. We... More

I ate there with my husband on my birthday November 2015. The oysters Rockefeller were not prepared tastefully at all. All they did was throw some spinach on top of the oyster and baked it. It was the worse Oysters Rockefeller I ever had and it is an appetizer I order often in restaurants. The main dish was "very average"... More

We had high hopes for this little restaurant/seafood shop. The man preparing food wore no gloves and repeatedly wiped his hands on a filthy towel hanging from his apron (also dirty). The prices were high and the quality of food was low. Soup was inedible and salad was really pathetic. The strawberries were just beyond belief! Who ever heard of... More

A gem...a true find...a diamond in the rough. Looks like a nothing from the outside. But inside, it is a fine fish market that has about 12 tables for dinning. The food is excellent. Really some of the best fish I have ever had. The two people in charge are hoots and work hard. On weekends they have a piano... More

This is the kind of place that you know when you first walk in if you're going to love it or not love it. For me, it's love it. On your left is the glass front fresh fish cooler where what's on offer is what's on display. Last night it was seven varieties from tri-tail to swordfish to salmon to... More

My wife and I stopped today for lunch and it was great. I had their cod fish platter and my wife had the soup and salad. Both were excellent. Service was great and the entire lunch was great.

We were hungry looking for a place to have a late lunch, and picked the closest seafood place on the GPS. It was a winner! I had the rare tuna but my friends had the specials of sword fish and red snapper. Everything was fresh, well cooked and excellent tasting. Nobody tried the Italian section of the menu. Service was... More
