Very disappointed in the chowders. Had better at Manatees and lobster shanty. Expensive and I had both and shared with office staff. No wows would have expected that for the price. $24.00 2 pints. Chonch had no chonch and clam average. Disappointed on the to go order. Lobster in house was great.

We've been buying fish from Joey's since they opened but decided to try dinner there. We weren't sure how the ambience would be given that dining is basically in the middle of the store, but they do a good job in setting the place up for dinner. It works and why wouldn't it? It's the same concept as Eataly in... More

I came here for lunch with some friends visiting over the holidays and they are still raving about the shrimp and scallops we ordered for lunch. The owners weren't there the day we came but the young waitress was friendly and competent. The only complaint is the wine they serve by the glass, which, when I complained about it and... More

The reviewers that complain about the service likely do not appreciate or understand the quirkiness of the place, including the wait staff. A few tables housed in a seafood store, the food is about the best seafood in Vero Beach and lower price points. They serve beer and wine. Be warned: if you are looking for a great simple dining... Was told that we must try Joey's, so we did this evening. When we walked in we were asked if we had reservations, my reply was do we need them? The place was empty. We were seated by a young lady and another lady came and asked if we had reservations again. The young lady came to ask us what... More

After having a lovely, but pricey, bowl of Lobster bisque for lunch with a friend there, we took my family back for dinner. I will not go back. The server was pushy, seemed to up-charge our selections without explaining, slow, and the entrees did not come out together. My daughter wanted to try Shrimp Scampi for the first time -... More

And don't forget to remove the bones. My crab stuffed fish filet appeared to have been hit by a hammer. And four bones? It was fresh, but my fish dish was a mess. Others had some really great shrimp with crab legs. My oysters rockefeller were an unusual preparation, but good. The wine was $48/bottle. It was good wine. There... More

What a great place, the owners couldn't be more friendly and the food just doesn't come any fresher. You step in and the amazing smells hit you and the food doesn't dissapoint. Its honestly not that expensive for the quality of food and the fantastic service.

In vero beach for the month. Bought fresh fish 2-3 times a week from Joey and Kimmy. Asked each day what was fresh and would be good on the grill. Red snapper was always good. Grouper a close second. Clams we bout and steamed in white wine and garlic on the grill were fantastic. Loved the Kimmy's smoked fish dip... More
