Relatively inexpensive lunch with very good service.

I had the fish and chips. The fish was a little overdone. The fries were perfect. The unoaked chardonnay wad good. This is a nice family owned restaurant that caters to the clientele. It was packed for lunch.

A Small party (9) wedding dinner on a Sat. PM. We were early and our table was ready. Our Hostess / server was friendly, helpful, and on top of the service requirements. The restaurant was very busy but that didn't seem to create any issues with our service or server. Server there and present as needed and not otherwise. Other... More

We did our annual first bike ride from Sarasota to Venice and rewarded ourselves with a fine lunch at Cafe Venice. The crab cakes were superb, our friendly waitress recommended a superb Pinot noir and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Now looking forward to our next visit!

This is fast becoming our favorite restaurant in Venice. The quality of the food and service surrounded by a pleasant atmosphere is outstanding. Our waiter, Jeff, who was also serving as our bartender this busy evening, made me a perfect dry vodka martini. He made my wife a combination of grapefruit vodka, lime juice and seltzer, which she said was... More

We had lunch here and while this was not a place that will blow your socks off, it had really decent food and a broad menu that almost anyone could find something they like. The standout for this place was the service.

The Cafe filled up quickly after our early arrival as we had theatre reservations. Lovely tablecloths, menus and water on the table before our arrival. Conversation was invigorating from other patrons. Perfect spacing of tables. We could enjoy our quiet conversation. Service was prompt and professional. Jeff was polished and attentive. We split the Sea Bass which was the best... More

2 of us for lunch. I had the soup and salad selection. I chose the spicy seafood which was basically a thai soup- excellent. I love hot spicy food. It may be too spicy for some. Had grilled romaine salad with a piece of blackened mahi mahi. Wow were they spot on. Sat inside because too many people smoking cigarettes... More

I ordered chicken Marsala. You could taste the marsala wine; however, the sauce was bland and the chicken was covered in sautéed onions. The side was a rice dish that was dry and flavorless. My date had the seafood special which he said was also dry and bland. The service was okay. I asked the waitress to describe the crispy... More

I apologize that you did not enjoy your meal with us. People usually love our chicken marsala dinner entrée for $18. It does have shallots and mushrooms in it. If you do not like shallots, we can always make it without. Just let your server know. Also, if you asked your server to get you another side dish due to... More

Cafe Venice is on W. Venice Ave...the Main Street of downtown Venice. You can dine inside or better yet, outside....it's fun to watch all the happenings downtown! The food is excellent and service is friendly. A great place to stop for lunch while shopping!
