Bad experience !!! I ordered ; escargots, it was awful, not at all with butter garlic, they were in a bath of oil !!! The hot brie was so bad, no flavor at all and the bread was so old even toasted it was no good. In despite of good service and a nice view, I will be not back... More

I personally love going to a restaurant that knows how to prepare your filet the way it was ordered. I ordered the small cut with a baked potato and salad. It was marvelous, just enough for the hour. The others I believe enjoyed their meals also. I am never disappointed with this restaurant choice time and time again.

We ate there two nights because we loved it so much. One night was upstairs were it was a large menu, long list of wines and a great view. I am gluten free and it was very easy to see what I could have. The second night was in the pub/bar on the main level and it was just as... More

We've been here before and were very pleased as we were this time also. We all had the fish and chips (cod) and it was wonderful. My husband and I were with my uncle who is over from England and he thoroughly enjoyed it as well. It's right on the water, great view and the service is impeccable.

I have enjoyed this restaurant for the last six years. After closing down for two weeks, it recently re-opened and I returned. It now has a wonderful outside terrace overlooking the wáter and allowing gorgeous sunsets. Our party of four had reservations for six PM but had to wait until six thirty to get a table. I noticed many new... More

A must if you're in the Venice area. Located right on the water, the ambiance and views are first-rate and the food is amazing, as well. If you like seafood, the Grouper Key Largo is fantastic and fresh with a medley of flavors and the potato soup will have you coming back. After dinner, we walked along the water admiring... More

We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at the Crow.s Nest. We ate at the upstairs dining room, which generally requires a reservation.During the season, from Nov to Apr. you need to plan ahead, as reservations can stretch to two weeks out. The Grouper Key Largo, Lobster Bisque, and Seafood Bouillabaisse were excellent. The wine list is extensive and can get... More

We went to the Crow's Nest in Venice Florida for lunch. Nancy the waitress was absolutely amazing. We had friends coming in by boat. NANCY stayed with us while the restaurant was closing and helped facilitate the dock master trying to contact out friends via marine radio during a huge storm Our friends arrived safely after about 5 hours. By... More

Looking for fish & chips we went downstairs at The Crow's Nest tavern because we knew they offered Atlantic Cod fish & chips. Portion size was good, and the batter was great....nice, light beer battered fish. However, despite the waitress confirming it was Atlantic Cod, and having previously called to confirm the type of fish before we drove there for... More

Thanks for taking the time to comment on your recent experience here at the Crow's Nest. We are glad you appreciated the atmosphere and service. I am sorry the Atlantic cod was not up to standards. We do purchase fresh Atlantic cod from Steve Connolly Seafood out of Boston and Gloucester. I wish we could have had a chance to... More

We went to dinner and it was crowded. The restaurant has an upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs the menu is different and more expensive than downstairs. We chose downstairs. The food was good, but the seating was cramped. The service was poor as one dinner was late coming out and the drink refills did not come very often.
