Top notch Mexican food. Very tasty mole sauce. Service was terrific. Be sure to ask for the hot salsa. We all enjoyed the sopapillas.

Typical Mexican restaurant. Good food, big drinks, good service. What's not to like? Tends to be crowded, A good sign. We have eaten here many times. If you have a hankering for Mexican in Venice, go for it. You wont be dissappointed.

This is not the first time at this place. We come back because the food is good and the service is great. There seems to always be a wait for a table, but most good places have a small wait time. The menu is good, without being overly large.

The guacamole made table side, as well as the sangria were excellent. We ordered shrimp fajitas and a shrimp avocado salad. The shrimp were fishy and rubbery. Blech. The manager repeatedly offered to bring us more shrimp, but we wanted no part of that. We had to ask outright for part of our bill to be refunded.

The Wednesday night mariachi music drew us to Mi Pueblo, along with large numbers of locals, snowbirds and vacationers -- the place was packed, probably because of the live music and the fact that we also were there during happy hour. I need to confess that we have a thing for mariachi bands, which we judge by how well they... More

We ordered takeout for seven people. Everyone's food was good (I had the fish tacos). The order was perfect, with nothing missing. I only wish I could have ordered the big margaritas I usually have when we eat at the restaurant.

We went here for New Year's Eve. It was festive with the mariachi singers! ( which are there Wednesday's year round) food was delicious, Service outstanding. Great value.

Went with my brother and sister in law. Rain stopped and the wait staff were kind enough to wipe off the wet table so we could sit immediately instead of the 35 wait. They also lit the heater for us. Food was very good. Good prices and brought food home. We will be back.

I love Mexican food and have eaten it all over the country. This is one of the best places ever! They have restaurants in Sarasota and Venice. Don't miss it. But arrive early, especially in Venice as it is very popular.
