Nice location "on the beach", good food and reasonably priced. Relaxed and easy ;) We had lunch here a couple of times during our holiday, and will definitely come back ;)

Very nice location at a fishing pier on the beach, south of Venice, Florida. nice spot to watch the sunset or dolphins playing aroung the pier. expect at least half an hour wait for seating, but you will not be disappointed. The service is friendly and food is nice! the atmosphere is relaxed and even the band playing was not... More

...but they do offer you to get into Finn's if you would rather not wait... We waited and sat outdoors so we could see the sunset, however, we were seated on the south end and somewhat near the indoor seating - we did not see any sunset from the seats. Better bet for sunset is to go out on the... More

Have been to Sharkey's several Times. The food is always good and reasonably priced. The drinks are excellent and a touch expensive. The service is "relaxed", (i.e.: slow. Don't be in a hurry.). Fun, funky vibe.

According to Sarasota Magazine, Sharky's on the Pier in Venice, Florida, "is the quintessential Gulf-front restaurant, suspended high above the beach and featuring expansive views, with the sort of menu and cocktails that match the casual, beachy setting." Venice doesn't rate the plaudits generally reserved for Sarasota but it combines the best of small-town charm and cosmopolitan tastes with sidewalk... More

The comfort of leaving the beach knowing that only a few steps away is a good restaurant is priceless. The menu is extensive and the food was great. Started off with their delicious appetizer of lobster & cheese artichoke dip with warm pita bread points, delicious! Had the Mahi Mahi Taco Taco with a side of their quinoa/edemame/garbanzo salad, very... More

Visited this week for lunch with a party of 23 and though we had to be divided, it wasn't a problem. Food was pretty good. A little pricey, but that's to be expected when you're paying for atmosphere. We had one pleasant server and one was really a jerk -- wish I could remember his name, a tall thing middle-aged... More

We were a party of seven, which isn't horribly challenging, but our waitress was ancient. As I looked around the room (we sat inside in the original seating section of the restaurant) I noticed that most of the wait staff were older women. No inherent problem there, but most seemed well beyond their efficient prime. I think some of them... More

Go at sunset, sit outdoors and enjoy the beach view. The food was pricey for what you get and the drinks taste like mixes but you can't beat the beautiful Venice Beach views.

We visited Sharky's On The Pier for the first time last night after hearing about it and seeing articles putting this restaurant on many "best of" lists. We may be back but only for the view, which is outstanding. We couldn't believe how crowded it was for a Tuesday night in July...the "off" season. It was trivia night so maybe... More
