Great view on the beach

Good service and food. I had the seafood gumbo ( very good) and my wife had a mahi mahi sandwich. ( she said it was OK.) This place was very pricy but them again this is venice Fl. We sat right along the beach for lunch

I've been going to Sharky's for 20 years. The food has always need good. When I first started going there, the parking lot was dirt and the entire experience had a great ambiance. The gift shop was a hole in the wall and the bartenders had a great personality and made us feel welcomed. We had to put our name... More

It's been several years since our last visit to Sharky's. They've updated and expanded. They've added a new upstairs called "Fins." We requested outdoor seating and they accommodated our group of seven in less than 15 minutes (waits at Sharky's can often be much longer.) The food and service were excellent, and it's hard to beat their location right on... More

The view is gorgeous. We sat outdoors. The piña coladas were very strong and refreshing. The fish tacos with mango were very good. The waiter brought a piece of key lime pie with a candle for my husband's birthday and the staff sang a rousing rendition of Happy Birthday. Since we visited in April the wait was tolerable and we... This is what happens to restaurants when there is no competition. Nice location on Venice Beach but the wait is way too long and generally almost twice what they tell you. Food is average, service sloppy. Plenty of room for other restaurants on the beach which would make them shape up but they must have some sort of "in" that... More

What a fun place! I recommend Sharky's On The Pier. A great location..and loved sitting in the warm sun eating and drinking. I recommend the fish and chips; the fish is delicious with a light batter coating that doesn't dominate the taste of the fish. We had a bit of a wait, but it was certainly worth it. Our waitress... I have eaten at Sharky's a few times, but the experience tonight was enough to keep me from going back anytime soon. We asked for our favorite wine (Gougenheim malbec) which we have had before. The waitress simply stated that they don't have that any more (somehow the next table managed to get a bottle) and refused to check. She... More

While the food was great and chef came to visit (nice) we were ultimately disappointed with the wait times...an hour for drinks, an hour after that for dinner. Price is on the high side....so overall will only go occasionally and not in March. Sorry, even if a popular place with great views it is not worth it. Too corporate on... More

Every time we visit Florida we have to visit Sharky's. The atmosphere is so fun and the drinks and food are great. Onion Rings were awesome! Our waiter was fantastic. He was so enthusiastic about his job and it really helped make it a great night. All of our drinks were fantastic as well. We will definitely be back.

I have traveled to Venice numerous times and I always would make a visit to Sharky's! Never again! Not only was the host a complete jerk, the "manager-on-duty" was verbally abusive when I asked how much longer the wait would be. I have an extensive history at award winning restaurants and resorts. Both the host & so called manager needs... More
