My wife and I have been to the Bistrot many times over the years and always enjoyed great meals and service but as others have written the restaurant went through a bad spell this year providing food well below their normal high standard along with poor service. Having brought this to the attention of the owner he has since changed... More

The food was just not very tasty. The place was empty but the wait staff was disinterested and the food took forever to arrive. We have not gone back.

Today we tried this little bistro, our neighbors told us it was so good and we weren t disappointed ! Their shrimp curry is to die for!!! My husband had the beef bourguignon and almost licked the plate !! I recommend that place to all.

A very small restaurant on the corner across from Venice Theater. The food is very French and delicious. They have fixed price meals that are excellent and fair prices. Go there you won't be disappointed.

We really enjoyed breakfast here on a Saturday alongside the Venice Farmers Market. First, the coffee was great ... I'm a coffee lover. Second, the spinach omelette was the best I ever had. Third, the atmosphere is charming. Fourth, the people who work there were warm and friendly. This is not a basic breakfast place...its special. People at the next... More

Having been there for breakfast just last year, we decided to give it a try for lunch. Big mistake! We should have stayed with the good experience we had at breakfast. The lunch crowd consisted of only 3 tables when we entered, there were three staff members standing at the door, it took them a couple of minutes to get... More

The dish came out WELL over cooked and thin and the Foie Gras was sloppy and grisly. NOT HAPPY! Pan should be BUSTING hot and the Foie... More

As French living in New York, we know and enjoy the French cuisine. Le petit bistrot was really excellent. The waiter was welcoming and attentive. The specials (beef tenderloin with bleu or mushrooms sauce and the hachis Parmentier) were delicious. The advice for the red Coteau de Provence wine was great. Of course not a cheap restaurant, but very much... More

I came in by myself as I enjoy traditional French cuisine, and I was very pleased that I did. The atmosphere is cute and intimate, tastefully decorated, and the French music is a nice touch. The service was prompt and friendly. I was surprised, being a solo diner how much attention I got from the server. She had a fresh,... More
