Great French Restaurant in Venice

Nice little restaurant near the farmers market and theatre. We stopped there for brunch. Food was delicious and the service was great...especially their French toast. Well worth coming back.

We stopped for lunch, a croque monsieur and onion soup. Both were good, but don't expect the best of classic treatments. Lots of good cheese on the soup, lots of onions, but lacking the depth that a base of home made veal stock would have delivered. The croque monsieur was tasty, but the bread was a soft white (not firmer,... More

Went for a light lunch and enjoyed it very much. I had 4 of the tapas and my husband had the crepe with ham and mushrooms. The bechamel sauce was to die for and each of my tapas were delicious - though the shrimp were a little overcooked- service was typically French, though they were very busy we still felt... More

Cute little place. Were seated upstairs. Very low ceiling. I am 6 feet tall and nearly scrapped it. Wait staff seemed overwhelmed although the place wasn't jammed. We went for lunch, menu seemed interesting. Unfortunately the meal wasn't. I ordered the French burger. It was like a Maid-Rite without the flavor. I asked my wife how her lunch was sshe... More

Five of us went to Le Petit Bistrot for a pre-Christmas lunch. We were greeted warmly and our wine was delivered while we looked over the menu. The choices all looked and sounded great. Our order was taken in just the right amount of time - no long wait and no feeling of being rushed. The food was fabulous. There... More

The French breakfast was wonderful. A great combination! The dining room is small but quaint and comfortable. Even has outside dining area.

First time we went to this restaurant we could not get a table, but went 2 nights later and it was very quiet. The service was excellent but the food was varied. For starters we had French onion soup and pate which were excellent. Main course my wife had veal which was also excellent I had a chicken dish in... More

My husband and I were in Venice for the day after hearing what a lovely community it is. And we agree, we had a wonderful time looking around downtown as well as two beautiful beaches. Midway through our visit, we realized we were starving and happened to be walking by Le Petit Bistrot so we went in. We both ordered... More

This place is authentic, French, and super delicious. I had a raspberry torte that was to die for. The girl taking my order was French- accent and all! The place is small, pink and white, and on the Venice island strip~ a perfect spot for brunch and a little shopping stroll downtown. As a local, I'm telling you, this place... More
