shopping today and decided to have lunch... saw Cedar Reef as we were walking to our car and recalled reading of them so we went in. Never having been here we wanted to sample so we shared......We started with the smoked fish spread served w/crackers, capers & onion...it was creamy and tasty..... then on the advice of our excellent server... This was a pleasant surprise. It was our last night in Venice. We were greeted and seated quickly. We had a wonderful waitress. She was informative about the menu and made a few great suggestions. Service was quick and food was delicious. I could see this bring one of my favorite places to eat in Venice.

My wife and I have dined here many times over the years, visiting. Now we live here, 5 min away and both love the scallops. I usually order the blackened redfish which is outstanding! This is the first meal we had as residents after a looooong uhaul trip! Dont let the location fool you! The chef knows what he is... More

We found this one on Trip Advisor and figured with these ratings how could we go wrong?! When we arrive it was mobbed. We had "called ahead" but they didn't have our name. When I told them about their error they honored my call and moved us to the top of the list. We later figured out we'd called the... More

Stopped for lunch on a whim, ordered one of their $10.00 lunch specials. I choice the blackened tilapia which was very good. With it I choice slaw, very tasty instead of whatever came with the fish special. They even gave me 2 cups of it, so I was in seventh heaven. I did enjoy my lunch.

Great food is not the same for everyone judging by some of the latest comments, but ours was great! We got there around 4 and waited about 15 min. for our fresh made food which was hot, homemade, and delicious! I am 53 now and have had food all over the world but it could not have been any better... More

I went with my family to the fish camp. We had heard about it from an advertisement sent in the mail. The food was greasy and tasteless. Our waitress obviously didn't care about a tip because she rarely checked on the table and at points couldn't be found. I have nothing good to say about cedar reef fish camp. My... More

Had dinner at the bar. I have been coming here for the past 2 years. Inconsistent is the best I can offer. Some nights - brilliant kitchen other night not so much. Staff is always courteous & polite but a bit overwhelmed. Seems to be a lack of coordination/communication between kitchen and wait staff. Mussels - way too much oil... More

After reading the reviews we thought we would give it a try for dinner. Absolutely worth it. My husband and I enjoyed everything we ate. I highly recommend this place. He had the red snapper special and I had the crab lover's platter along with desserts. Absolutely amazing!
