Thai Food At It's Best - Even In A Strip Mall

Always stop by a couple of times when in town. Just love the cashew nut chicken and the basil chicken just a little spicy. Have a Thai coffee as well. Would like to see them offer brown rice some day? They are located in the Bird Bay Plaza.

We go to Thai Spice a lot. I think it may be as often as twice a week, mostly for lunch, but occasionally for dinner. We love it, everything about it. It is quiet, the food is excellent, they serve the kind of food we enjoy (spicy, not salty). The Spicy Beef Salad is spectacular, as is the Pad Prik. At... More

Have eaten at many Thai restaurants in my time, but this is the first one that put "gravy" on everything. The steamed dumplings, covered with peanut sauce, Pad Prik, covered with some type of "gravy".....not my idea of true Thai. However, food was tasty (though different) and the service good. Maybe it's Midwest Thai. Will most likely not return, better... More

Tucked discreetly away in Bird Bay Shopping Plaza near Big Lots on the Venice Bypass, we discovered Thai Spice, an unassuming small place. Boasting little ambiance but terrific food and a great waitress, we came away hoping to return someday soon! Being a fan of catfish, I was pleasantly surprised by the tantalizing flavors of this crispy presentation of it... More

when we ordered our lunch we did not realize it came with a spring roll and a delicious bowl of soup. Nice surprise! Both the Pad Thai and Pad Prik were delicious and very affordable. The real gem was our waitress Jill who was very attentive, very polite and had a beautiful, caring smile!

We arrived in Venice on Christmas Eve, so our options were limited. Ate dinner at Thai Spice. The food was very good. I had the sea bass with ginger sauce. My wife had panang curry with tofu. We also had appetizers. The portion were good, and the food was good enough that we came back for takeout (the fish with... More

We used to dine at Thai Spice often but after they changed management a few years ago we found we didn't like the new menu so we stopped going there. Last night we thought we would give them a try since it had been a couple of years since we dined there. Our first clue something was wrong was the... More

This used to be one of my very favorite restaurants where I ate lunch 2-3 times a week sometimes, but it recently changed hands/chefs. The menu has stayed the same but the flavors are now quite lacking and the service is poor. Thai beef salad at lunch used to have delicious bits of marinated chargrilled steak, now it contains some... More

My husband and I love Thai food and this little jewel was excellent. The restaurant has been at this location for 8 years and just changed hands. The new owner is a sweet lady and we really enjoyed our meal. She has re-painted and changed the decor, which is very bright and cheery. I understand the menu may change a... More

I had lunch at Thai Spice which does not have a very impressive atmosphere compared to other Thai restaurants. However, the food was exceptional and moderately priced. The spring rolls were delicious as was the coconut soup. The green curry with pork was one of the very best entrees I have had in recent memory. It was generous in size,... More
