I had heard from several people that this was a good, authentic seafood restaurant. Lets start with the lobster bisque. It had a good flavor but was just pureed sauce. No chunks of lobster to be found. The mussels were small and the sauce had no flavor. Fried oysters reminded me of clam strips. Oysters are oval and whole, not... More

I'm from north of Boston and just got back from a vacation up there and had a terrible craving for fried clams (Boston Style) Went to this restaurant and the clams were fantastic. Nothing is quite as good as being up north and getting it super fresh, but it was very very close and satisfied my craving for Ipswich Whole... More

This restaurant is owned and operated by Gigi, a real new England gal. If you crave NE fried clams, scallops or broiled haddock, this is the place to go. It's a small, out of the way place, but always packed during "season". If your down from new England on vaca or otherwise this is a must eat place to go!

Saw their ad on 7/1 and dined there on 7/2. I can't express how thrilled we are to find a restaurant that serves authentic N.E. seafood. We just moved to Venice and are checking out restaurants and this has the best seafood so far. The place isn't fancy but it was very clean and the staff were warm, friendly and... More

My wife being from MA, had to take her for her fried whole belly clams. She said they were just like back home, I had the Clam Chowder, and probably the best I had ever had. Also had the Haddock, wasn't bad a little bland, would have liked some kind of Sauce or a mango salsa on the side, but... More

I was expecting more of a "chain" restaurant atmosphere but got a wonderfully, quint, typical east coast "no frills" restaurant! LOVE IT! The wait staff looked to be brothers or cousins of all ages, ours being a 12 year old boy who was absolutely ADORABLE! The food is mostly deep fat fried and was "ok" but if you are from... More

Stopped here on the way to manasota beach. The 3 of us had the mini haddock sandwich and chowda bowl combo. Both were fabulous; freshly made haddock and the clam chowda was a wonderful blend of clams and potatoes combined with the right consistency and buttery flavor. Enjoy!

First off you have to fine it, its on US 41, on the east side of the roadway, south of Semonole and north of Baffin. Great Chowder and Claim Cakes, the Lobster Roll is a copy of the New England Front. The product served at this restaurant is as fresh as it gets. Not a large building, but its worth... More

Fresh lobster, fresh clams, all around great meal. Next time I'm in Venice I'll be returning for more.
