After going to the chalk festival happened to drop in at Upper Crust Bakery, so glad we did. First we shared the two fish tacos which were good sized and very tasty. Grilled Mahi Mahi with slaw and mango salsa in a warm slightly crusted tortilla. Then we ordered a slice of coconut cake to share. Largest slice of cake... More

Came upon this gem while out walking during the recent Venice Chalk festival. Very nice ! Just what I needed, a quiet place to check my photos and email. Had the smoked salmon hash! Excellent! And the service was excellent to as they offered me a refill of my coffee in a to go cup. Couldn't resist a key lime... More

My MIL and I had lunch at upper crust and it was perfect. I ordered the spinach salad and a chai tea latte. My drink was WONDERFUL. 10x better than Starbucks. ;) and the croissant that came with my salad was fresh, buttery and flaky- perfect. Our service was superb- our waitress was very attentive. I enjoyed the overall atmosphere... More

Until this last visit this was my go to restaurant for lunch in Venice. The patty melt sandwich was ordered by two at our table. The patty's were grey in color and tough to cut and we are talking about ground meat. A side of the "homemade chips" was requested only to have kettle chips from a bag arrive. A... More

They have the biggest, best tasting scones I have ever had! The service is always great and so is the food!

We were visiting Venice and looking for a place to have a good coffee. We stopped at this bakery and saw they were quite busy. We explained that we just wanted a coffee with a scone, and they offered us a table. The latte and scones were HUGE, and also were delicious. The clotted cream was decadent. As large as... More

Met some family here for lunch. The entrance of the cafe is a congested bottleneck with people waiting to be seated and others purchasing desserts to go. They offer a good selection of lunch items. The food was average; we tried some desserts that were all very sweet with large portions. We tried what the server called scones from a... More

Called in on our way through with the family - looking for somewhere to have some morning coffee and some cakes. Inside is a "shabby chic" kind of affair. Cakes were really good - we had a selection of magic cookies, fudge brownies and macaroons and all tasted great - coffee was really good as well. Well worth a visit... More

Had brunch with friends and all were pleased with the food, decor and service. Rave reviews for the Monte Cristo sandwich from Mr. Fussy,..."better than those I used to get in California." Our quiches (ham and cheese/vegetable) were great and my Hawaiian chicken salad was delicious. PS to Trip Advisor: You have this listed as serving dinner, it is only... More
