My family loves the Mason Jar Restaurant. The food is down home country cooking and it's at the top of it's game. Go for the all you can eat fried chicken on Sundays, you won't be disappointed.

The decor is rustic and suites the southern style cooking. We went in for lunch...burgers were good, but the fries were ick. I'd go back to try breakfast or dinner though. I hear their fried chicken is very good.

Visited the Mason Jar for the first time on a Wednesday for breakfast and was pleasantly surprised. They had good breakfast specials, the food was deliciously home made and the service fast. We decided to try it again on a Thursday, not so good. Service was average, specials were much higher and the food was rushed(eggs were under cooked). There... More

I know people that drive 20 miles just to eat at the Mason Jar every Sunday after church. I think the locals don't tell anyone about it because they don't want visitors taking up all the seats! Good homestyle breakfasts, veggies, soups, great meatloaf and country specials of the day, all with prices that will ensure none of your family... More

Home cooked food, a lot of comfort food, always good, they serve so many of my favorites, including all kinds of greens. Flavored well, easy atmosphere, service is good.

We stopped in to The Mason Jar on a Tuesday evening and they were pretty busy, but we got greeted right away and seated in a roomy booth. They have a rustic country decor, very cute and it was very clean. Our server took our drink order and came back quickly with fresh hot coffee, unusual for evening.. They have... More

Great home country cooking for breakfast or lunch. Extensive menu with daily specials. Friendly and fast service. The restaurant has country decor and is very clean. A great place to eat in Florida. Worth the trip if you are anywhere in the area or passing by.

Passing through this small town, we read the reviews for this restaurant and stopped. Missed the fried chicken which is supposed to be the best. Didn't see the "specials" board until after we ordered. Would have been nice to see the board as we waited to be seated. We are not locals and didn't know about them. Our waitress neglected... More

This great little restaurant is home to wonderful country cooking, and the food is served by one of the sweetest, most friendly staff one could hope to find. The owner/manager, KERI, keeps close watch to make sure everyone is properly cared for. Go often enough, and soon "everybody knows your name" !!!

Had lunch here while staying in Mt. Dora for the Antique Show in January. Great Crispy Fried chicken, real green beans seasoned with ham hocks and real mashed potatos. Place was crowded and now we knew why. Restaurant decorated with cattle country decor almost made one think they were in Texas but was really just a good ole' southern meal.... More
