Nice Breakfast

I've enjoyed a few breakfasts at this rusty scupper. Good food. Good specials. Small joint, but great on beach ambience. Staff very friendly too.

Second time we've been to R Bar for AYCE Crab Legs. Husband and daughter love them...they'll keep bringing them till you'll full and they are always hot. Son and I had burgers and they were also fantastic! Waiter was full of personality as well, so the entire evening was enjoyable! Asked out waiter to bring me a beer...any kind....brought me... More

In town on vacation, our driver that picked us up at the airport was giving us recommendations of places to go, this being one of them...we were our walking one day and happened upon the R Bar and decided to try it. It looks a little rough on the outside, had Sam not recommended it, we probably would not have... More

We ordered oysters on the half shell, and for what we got, $20 was ridiculous. Those 12 tiny oysters should've cost $5. When our haddock, fried shrimp and fries came out, I'd seen better food at Captain D's. Overall, the beer was flat, food was terrible, and menu was overpriced. Also, the local trash inhabited this place and made it... More

Mediocre shrimp and fried catfish - they were battered in a more flour base which doesn't crisp so they were soggy. Blackened catfish was actually decent and I would order again except I won't be back. The reason I won't be back is we order 2 cokes and a Diet Dr. Pepper. Was told no Diet DP so I mentioned... We were in search of seafood and found R Bar. We went back three time and had shrimp, fish and had all you could eat crab legs. It's a small place so go early or be prepared to wait but it's worth it.

Went to R Bar 5 PM on Saturday. Sat in dining section, but bar was so loud, I was tempted to leave. However, after I had ordered the prime rib special, the rowdy crowd magically disappeared. The prime rib was a good size, but 1/3 of it was fat. This is a no frills place. Waitress was very attentive. They... More

Thursday night - All you can eat crab bar is a crablovers paradise. The Alaskan king crab was very fresh and meaty. This is quite a deal for $29.95. The service was excellent and the waitress kept the crab flowing. The ambiance is not much to look at - but they sure have the goods. There are other special nights... More

The service was great considering how busy they were. It was crab leg all you can eat night so the place was packed. Had pizza which was good.

We were recommended to go to R bar by a local that SWORE up and down about how amazing this local dive was and that they were well known for all you can eat nights with shrimp, crab and catfish. We just recently moved to St. Pete from Ohio and were eager to try out new places and find some... More

I am glad you enjoyed yourself but the service you received is uncalled for so can you tell me a little about your server/bartender? Was she young or older? whatever else you can tell me will help. This is not the norm so i would hope you come back. Bob More
