This is a hole in the wall and the owners speak german, so I expected authentic, but it was average to poor quality and came to the table way to fast to be fresh. Must have been microvaved or they have lots of it pre-prepared and keeping warm in gravies. Goulash soup was the worst I ever tried. Sausage was... more

Uless you read a review like Trip Advisor or were recommended by word of mouth you would never find or enter this restaurant.Less than a dozen tables, no credit cards but good, inexpensive german food and good German beer. No appetizers and only about 10 German items on the menu. We had weinerschitzel (sp?) with mushrooms, large servings of a... more

When we went it seemed the food was average, kind of like German food but not real authentic. It wasn't bad though. I dont think I'd drive out of my way to eat here, but it was ok. more

We decided to try this place for a change as most of the other write ups were quite good - mistake! The beer was good, the order was taken quickly and efficiently and then it started to go wrong. In the background i could hear the "ding of a microwave every couple of minutes and this set my senses on... more

I visited Cafe Berlin in September,2009. I was very surprised about the quality of the food and also the price of the food. I live in Germany and know how a good sauerbraten should taste. The served at Cafe Berlin was fantastic. It was served with red cabbage and dumplings and cost $9.95! Great price ! They serve a daily... more

This is our second trip to Treasure Island with our family. Last time we were there, the restaurant was closed. Apparently they close down a couple of weeks in the summer. Fortunately for us, they were open this year. They are tucked behind the surf shop, across from the Thunderbird and don't have a flashy sign that one would notice... more

This is a small family run business and very easy to miss. Search it out, you'll be glad you did. Lunch menu changes daily, food is excellent. Staff friendly and authentic German. Love the postcards on the wall and German playboy in the mens room :-) Last ate at cafe berlin in February and hope to return next year. more

Excellent food. Imported German beer on tap. Had the weinerschnitzle with mushrooms, fried potatos and green bean salad. We split apple strudel for dessert and took half of our meal for left overs. The servings were huge. more

GREAT, cheap delicious food with no atmosphere whatsoever. A hole in the wall in a small strip mall by the beach that served up about the best german food I have ever had. Had the sauerbraten and that meat was amazing. That along with the potato dumplings and red cabbage. My friends raved over that place despite being very unsure... more

Just got back from Florida. We stumbled across this restaurant by accident. We are glad we did. Great food! Great beer! Very small place, in a strip mall, not much to look at really, but if you are focused on having a good traditional German meal this is the place for you. We had the Sauerbraten and also one of... more
