We really enjoyed our visit. The service was cheerful and attentive, the food excellent. We had the Prince Edward Island mussels appetizer, which had probably 30 mussels in "white sauce", which was a white wine-based broth, rich and garlicky, with a small loaf of crusty bread for dipping. We had the stone crabs, a lb. of the large-sized claws for... more

I have a hard time understanding all the great reviews. Stone crab weren't fresh - tasted like they'd been on ice for days. Fried oysters tasted of fat that was days old... And hHow do you ruin a Caesar salad with shrimp? (With wet lettuce, fake dressing, and undercooked shrimp - that's how) more

Rusty Bellies Waterfront Grill is the best casual dining restaurant on the Gulf Coast of Florida! This is a traditional-casual seafood restaurant with great food. The shrimp don't come any bigger than these! Excellent Caesar Salad. A wide variety of excellent seafood dishes. Shorts, jeans and sandals are welcome. This is NOT a fancy place, but the food is superb! more

We returned to Rusy Bellies with visiting family members and it was, as expected, a great experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu, friendly, efficient, and left us feeling attended to without being overbearing. The food - from the hushpuppies to the crab bisque, gumbo, crab cakes, grouper and shrimp were all delicious and fresh. We will definitely be... more

We live in Tampa & tried this restaurant recently while in Tarpon Springs for the day. Lunch was so good that we went back for dinner the same day. Everything we tried was great. Going back to Tarpon Springs this weekend just to eat at Rusty Bellies. more

This place is outstanding! They run their own fishing business and bring their catch directly to you. We have never had a bad meal here. The wait time can be a little long, but that's mostly due to how popular it is. Do not eat the hushpuppies though! If you do, you will be addicted and overdo it. :) If... more

We ate on the patio and it was fun. Fried Mullet was good. Hush puppies were really nice and complimentary. Steamed Shrimp was fantastic--big beautiful bucket!! We appreciated not having to pay 3.75 for a domestic draft beer like some of the tourist joints around here! Service fast and friendly, this is a polular spot and a favorite for us. more

My husband and I like to take day trips on the weekends or just get out of town on a Friday night. One night we ventured to the Tarpon Springs area (I'd never been). We had the GPS with us and so we looked through it's list of local restaurants. We found Rusty Bellies and decided to give it a... more

My family stoped by to take me to lunch at Rusty Bellies during the week and it was a lot of fun. The butcher paper covered tables reminded me of crab parties in the back yard. The family had their bucket of crab special that was loaded with Stone,King crab and large Shrimp and I had their Grilled Seafood Platter... more
