Great OnThe Water Dining

The food is wonderful. They took very good care of us. We wanted to sit on the outside deck for the sunset. It was really crowded but the worked us in with out a reservation. The portions are huge. If you order the large spinach salad you'll need four people to eat it all.

I eat here everytime I stop in to Tarpon Springs (from Tampa). The food is excellent. Always get a bowl of the Avgolemono (Chicken lemon orzo soup). Its amazing. Also delicious are the traditional gyro and fish gyro. And the whipped feta/ricotta and jalapeño spread makes for a wonderful appetizer. Only negative: the service is hit or miss. More misses... This restaurant is very nice and great food. We had the whole snapper that they deboned at the table. It was fantastic! The mimosas were fresh orange juice and very tasty. I highly recommend here.

All four of us agreed it was some of the best food we have ever eaten. From the octopus to the lamb and the combination plate the flavors were intense and the food melted in your mouth. Top that off with fantastic service and a beautiful atmosphere. Living 300 miles away is my only regret.

Located on the water in the heart of Tarpon Springs, Dimitri's was our selection for a small gathering of friends and family. The food was excellent. One exception is their famous lemon roasted potatoes. The flavor fell rather flat, and nothing about them seemed roasted. But the chicken breast with artichoke hearts and lemon sauce was wonderful, and I was... More

Presentation good, food delicious, atmosphere perfect and the circus was fabulous! Ate on the deck, on the water, and got beautiful pics at sunset as well as the feeding of the fish by patrons and staff. Much fun.

Used to eat at Santorini's almost monthly. This was the predecessor to Dimitri,s. The restaurant changed hands about 3 years ago and has continually gone downhill. Used to be able to order numerous appetizers and request a made to order main to share amongst 4 people but no longer do that. Have to order the set meals. I am not... More

We chose Dimitris as they were not as busy as some of the other restaurants. After being coerced into some dinner package, that only allows you to order from a limited menu, we were seated. We waited over 10 minutes to place a drink order and request the special menus. The special menu includes gyros and other generic selections. My... More

We were in Tarpon Springs and wanted Greek food at the Sponge Docks. When we walked into Dimitri's at about 9:00pm we were greeted by Dimitri himself. (He looks to be retired, and to be greeting customers this late in the evening on a Saturday night just goes to show how much he care about his restaurant). We were expecting... More

Unlike other area establishments, this one is truly on the water. The water movement off of the dining area was so swift we asked to be moved because of motion sickness. The food was average and the environment was a little beat up, touch up of paint needed, especially bathroom doors, the restrooms were dirty and at lunch the bare... More
