Took out of town guests as Acropolis usually is a good bet. Went mid-afternoon on Sunday, what a disappointment. The food took forever to come out and service was poor. The Gyro Platters didn't have much meat, the fries came out cold and two of the orders of fries came out well after our meals came out, the waiter said... More

When my wife and I travel to Tampa we always make plans to head over to Ybor to have dinner at the Acropolis. The food and service are excellent. We love the freshly-made tzatziki and appreciate that the menu includes an excellent variety of Greek food as well as many American dishes. They have live background music which creates a... More

Food was excellent. We had gyros platter and the Greek salad. Portions were more than enough. Our waitress was very friendly. They do a funny dance

We had the stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer which you need to split with someone. The waitress also said after that we may want to consider splitting something, which was true. We had a chicken dish which I can't remember the name but it was more than enough to split. With four drinks, appetizer and dinner it was only $40.... More

Took my Wife, Son and Daughter to the Acropolis to celebrate our anniversary and the wife's birthday. Loved the atmosphere, the customer service and the meal. We really enjoyed the live entertainment as a musician played an authentic instrument, fiddling beautiful Greek music. For desert, the staff brought me Queen some baklava and sang "Happy Birthday" to her. This was... More

Ended a long night of bar hopping here and had a mediocre dinner. The food was not what I had expected, the fried cheese dish was burnt the the platter and tasted just as bad - - burnt. Not much more to say.

Since we were in Tampa anyway, we decided to take a chance and try this restaurant. I am really glad that we did. The location, though quiet, gave a lively welcome. Our server, Melissa, was attentive and friendly. The service could not have been better, and the food was amazing. Our hummus, falafel and tzatziki appetizers were delicious and the gyros... More

First time here but left impressed the staff treats the place like a party dancing around and throwing napkins and breaking plates ! We split the mixed grill which was cooked perfect ! The Greek sals we started with was one of the best i ever had ! If you like a fun atmosphere stop in

The food was excellent and traditional. Don't recommend ordering kabobs...open flame grill was used and charred the kabobs. May have been isolated case but would not get again.

If you want a hectic meal where you are looking over your shoulder for the server for 20 minutes, want a BIG expensive plate of tasteless food, or atmosphere so loud you can't hear your own voice....this is the place for you.
