Acropolis has 2 for 1 Sangria/Margaritas. At $8 a pop for 2 drinks it's not bad. But, the Sangrias are really sweet. Not that strong. The Gyro platter is huge! My fiancé and I split it and it was more than enough food. However, it was $2 more on the bill than on the menu. We assumed since it... read more

Our last three trips to Tampa have included the Acropolis on La Septima, Ybor. The atmosphere is authentic and so is the food. This trip, I had the octopus appetizer, a main course of lamb chops with spinach orzo and Greek potatoes, and rice pudding for dessert. Everyone else was excited about their choices for dinner. Right down the street... More

Excellent food and atmosphere and authentic Greek food. Waiter was excellent and attentive. Food was perfect. I had Chicken Souvlaki and my wife had Karpathos Chicken and both meals were excellent. I recommend this restaurant.

Atmosphere fun can be loud on weekends but still fun Great food Great prices 2 for 1 Sangria's :-) Defiantly try the Chicken Rhodes or any of the Gyro dishes. Chicken Lemon Rice soup is good as well as the Jambalaya Belly dancers on weekends as well as live greek music Fun place for all

I have always like the Acropolis. It is a very casual fun festive spot. If the weather is good it is a perfect place to sit outside, people watch and take in all the life Ybor has to offer. I enjoy the greek salad, taziki sauce with pita bresd is yummy and the branzino is nice.

Acropolis is worth the trip to Ybor City. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. Lunch is excellent, and dinner is lively as the wait staff breaks plates and occasionally has live music and a belly dancer for entertainment. The spinach dip is a great starter, and the Gyro platter cannot be beat.

Got the sampler platter (which was excellent) to split with my girlfriend and we didn't come close to finishing our gyros (also excellent). Plus they had 2 for 1 sangria. What a great start to a Saturday in Ybor.
