Excellent Food

This small restaurant has big flavor. The rolls were outstanding--the best we've had since living in El Paso, where this type was readily available--crusty on the outside and wonderfully soft inside. Food was outstanding, but it took forever to come out. They only had three waitresses and one was going back and forth working the bar. I would definitely recommend for food as long as you don't mind waiting a little longer.

Shockingly bad food. We checked the Trip Advisor reviews before going but unfortunately the reviews cannot always be trusted. We are qualified reviewers of Argentinian food - we've enjoyed Argentinian food in Rio, Aruba, Newark and Harris NJ. However beware - everything at this restaurant was terrible; that includes bad service - the restaurant only had one other table with... More

My colleague and I are healthy eaters, and this restaurant definitely is not the place to go for vegetables and low-fat options. She chose the salmon, and when it was delivered to the table, it appeared very pale in color. After one bite, she commented that it tasted as if it had been frozen. Another colleague is a big carnivore,... More

The wife and I had lunch here yesterday and it was fantastic! Granted it was the middle of the day on a Tuesday so the place was fairly empty, but the service and the food were great. We shared a carafe of sangria which seemed bottomless and was very tasty. I couldn't believe the portion sizes either... there's no way... More

We live in Tampa and visit El Puerto every few months. It is one of Tampa's better kept secrets. As the name implies it is an Argentinean restaurant. It is not fancy but is small and comfortable. The Churrasco is amazing, the rolls are perhaps the best bread I've ever had (yes it says something I would actually write about... More

I've never had a bad meal here. Sometimes it did not hot on all points but nothing to disappointment. I ordered the parrillado for one ($30.00) it's gone up in price but if you like a meat fest this dish is definitley for you. It comes with Argentinean sausage, short-rib, skirt steak, chicken breast, pork chop, sweet bread, and morcilla... More

This is an great place. Nothing fancy in terms of the ambiance, but we enjoyed extremely flavorful meals. Steaks were nicely cooked and were very good cuts of beef. Chimichurri was also outstanding. The empanada appetizer was well seasoned and in a beautifully flaky crust. Sides were fine. Service was attentive and friendly.

We came here after watching the Outback Bowl Parade on New Year's Eve. The food was excellent and the service was good. My husband is still talking about his Flank Steak Plate. We would definitely go back again.

After a day of sightseeing and touring a cigar factory, we were really hungry at 4 in the afternoon. We were the only people in El Puerto. and we had a very delicious and pleasant meal. The flank steak is a delicious plate of steak, fries, rice, salad, plantains, and egg. It's difficult to figure out where to start when... More
