Great local restaurant in Ybor City

We live in Tampa and visit El Puerto every few months. It is one of Tampa's better kept secrets. As the name implies it is an Argentinean restaurant. It is not fancy but is small and comfortable. The Churrasco is amazing, the rolls are perhaps the best bread I've ever had (yes it says something... read more

I've never had a bad meal here. Sometimes it did not hot on all points but nothing to disappointment. I ordered the parrillado for one ($30.00) it's gone up in price but if you like a meat fest this dish is definitley for you. It comes with Argentinean sausage, short-rib, skirt steak, chicken breast, pork chop, sweet bread, and morcilla... More

This is an great place. Nothing fancy in terms of the ambiance, but we enjoyed extremely flavorful meals. Steaks were nicely cooked and were very good cuts of beef. Chimichurri was also outstanding. The empanada appetizer was well seasoned and in a beautifully flaky crust. Sides were fine. Service was attentive and friendly.

We came here after watching the Outback Bowl Parade on New Year's Eve. The food was excellent and the service was good. My husband is still talking about his Flank Steak Plate. We would definitely go back again.

After a day of sightseeing and touring a cigar factory, we were really hungry at 4 in the afternoon. We were the only people in El Puerto. and we had a very delicious and pleasant meal. The flank steak is a delicious plate of steak, fries, rice, salad, plantains, and egg. It's difficult to figure out where to start when... More

This is a great place that is a hidden gem in Ybor City (Tample, FL) The sampler that can be ordered for one or two is easily sharable and we wished that we would have picked the entrée for one and just shared it. Service was pretty fast. This is the 3rd trip to the restaurant, so they must be... More

Loved it. You gotta go! Found this place by accident and visited on a Thursday night. Had the Tampico and it was great! Others had the Snapper and they were very pleased as well.

Went here craving a good skirt steak. Read the reviews here and on Urban Spoon about the terrible and slow service, so I knew what to expect. And the reviews were spot on. The staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, were unfriendly, and unattentive. I believe they also forgot to put in our app order as it... More

This was our fourth visit and the rating is declining to the point that we will not go back. This time, we had to wait for our salads for over an hour and when they finally came, they were not what we had ordered. The appetizer soup came after the salads and thereby 2 minutes before the main course. The... More

This place is a hidden gem near Ybor. The owner is at the grill. Get the Baby Churrasco which is the typical skirt steak. If you're really hungry you can get the full Churrasco, but it's huge. The only thing to keep in mind that if the place is full it'll take a while to get you the food as... More
