You'd never expect it by external looks, but they have an amazing buffet for lunch each day. Tons of options. Great Italian food. Often they will serve salmon, roast beef, great salad, Italian bread, pasta, meat balls, and all very high quality and great tasting! The one time I went there for dinner, it was slow (took a long time... More

The chef is Italian but the food isn't. Bruschetta with cheese, overcooked pasta and enormous portions.

My husband and I were visiting Tampa on 2/10-2/12 and tried to eat at this restaurant on a Tuesday night around 8pm. We walked up to the restaurant and the lights were out, the door was closed and no one was there. I tried to call the phone number and it had been disconnected. We were really disappointed and really... More

Always one of my Tampa favorites...the Laughing Cat has home made fresh pasta and sauces and huge portions (you get two or three meals out of them!). While they have a huge menu with meats and such, it's all about the pasta dishes here. If you're a first timer, get a pasta dish. My favorite is a seafood pasta with... More

Our first visit to the new location. Reservation was honored and we were seated as soon as we arrived at a lovely table for two by a window. Greeted quickly by a waiter with a voice almost as sexy as Barry White. As he was getting our wine a second waiter arrived. It seems that tables are assigned according to... More

Recently went to the Laughing Cat, this is the third time that I have had the opportunity to visit, twice in their new location. As before, the food was served piping hot and with great imagination. However, VERY large portions - still, it means I can have leftovers at home! Service was a little slow to start with, but otherwise... More

So like... years ago I used to come here regularly, when they were across the street. It was such an intimate, trendy feel that made me excited to go & grab sime dinner. Took me back to finding a a great place in the village (NYC). Then one day it was gone. Then reappeared across the street where the food... More

We enjoyed the mussels, eggplant, gnocchi, stuffed chicken and pastas. Each dish was prepared with care. The servings are generous so split an entree for a little more and try an appetizer.

Extensive menu with both typical and unusual Italian-style dishes (Crazy Chicken was very good). Appetizers were OK. Huge entree portions on large plates, could easily split one. Yummy desserts. Casual atmosphere. I love that it's right across from the trolley stop. A bit pricey for me but had a great time with friends. Make reservations as it was packed on... More

The last time I went to this restaurant, it was wonderful. This is the reason I went back. Lunch was all the time I had. The buffet just did not appeal. I ordered the cannelloni (exactly what I ordered last time) and was disappointed. The food tasted reheated, was bland, and disappointing. The chicken in my meal was ground chicken... More
