Enjoyable family dinner

My wife and I had dinner last night at this restaurant with our daughter. The house special prime rib was delicious and they do a very good job with their glaze sauce. Even though it is a pub, the atmosphere was safe and appropriate for my daughter as well.

We've eaten here several times. It is very dog friendly on the patio! I love the Guinness and fish and chips! The owner is a real Brit - and has created an authentic British experience.

This is my second visit here, and we'll be back. Last time was for lunch, and this time for dinner. On business in the US it's difficult (if not impossible) to find a good feed of fish 'n chips - until now! My collegues and I agreed these are the best we've had in a very long time! Washed down... Mad Dogs is not just a pub. In addition to traditional pub fare, there are terrific dinner options, including healthy choices. We had a grilled salmon special with couscous and asparagus along with an arugula and spinach salad with apples. There is indoor and outdoor dining. Reasonably priced and a great place to hang out on Friday or Saturday nights.... More

This is one of my favorite places in South Tampa. This is off the beaten path, so most of the people are locals. The ambiance is a terrific English style pub with famous Englishmen on the walls. The service is really good as there is an indoor and outdoor bar and seating area. One might think that this is the... More

A great pub. Food is better than a real British pub. Some great light options too, such as the crisp&fresh salad and the chicken curry. Parking can be rough so we try to walk. Great outside space and good size indoor dining area. Hugo is hysterical. A fun brunch on Sundays. Limited wine selection, but great beers. As good as... More

We had driven by this place quite a few times and it always seems crowded, so we decided to try it, especially since I lived in the UK for several years. Parking is a challenge. My wife had the crisp and fresh salad and I had the shepherds pie. My wife said the salad was exceptional. My shepherds pie was... More

We spent the day at MacDill AFB & looked for a nearby place to celebrate my husband's birthday. Loved the atmosphere here. Also a nice menu for lunch & dinner. I ordered the Shepherd's Pie ($12). A large portion & very hot. However, not enough veggies to my liking. When I complained to our nice waitress, she immediately remedied this... More

Mad Dogs and Englishmen is a quirky dog friendly restaurant. My wife and I ate dinner here with our dog after an afternoon of swimming at Fort de Soto. We didn't have to wait long for a table and drinks and food came quickly. The staff were very understanding when my wife asked for a small change to one of... More

I have gone here for years. We have moved away from Tampa but my husband and I returned to Mad Dogs when in town this month and the food and service were great as always. Love the décor, big black and white photos of famous British people and the big traditional wooden bar.
