We have been going to Mad Dogs for 14 years now. There have been a few changes over the years and they have all been for the better. We love the patio for outdoor dining, but our favorite now is the take out. Definitely try the fish and chips. Our English friend says it is the best in Tampa, and... More

Having holidayed recently in Tampa, the hotel recommended this bastion of England in the middle of Tampa, Situated in a good district, this quirky restaurant was a wonderful find,. We had great food, lovely atmosphere and thought it was reasonably priced. Would go back again and have recommended to all our friends, you have to try the Salmon it was... More

While restaurants come ang go in Tampa... You can always be assured that "Mad Dogs" is open and ready for that intimate evening or meeting place for friends. More of a wine bar, than traditional pub - I have been coming here since the first opened 23 years ago. The food is always a notch better than what you might... More

This review breaks my heart because we love to come here. It is a unique restaurant in South Tampa...a place where you can actually bring your dog with you to dinner. However, the last visit was miserable in so many ways. First, service was below expectation. Second, we had to sit inside, which is something we've only had to do... More

Must try the Stilton Fondue as a starter. It can be paired with naan or fries. We opted with the naan, and it was a delicious combination. Best lamb chops I have had in Tampa so far. Lobster in lobster ravioli is fresh. Ravioli is a little on the sweeter side. Ambiance is eclectic and age of patrons is various,... More

We went on a Sunday evening and sat inside as the weather was damp outside. They do have heat lamps and it is undercover for those to enjoy outdoors but you smell cigarette smoke which was the main reason we ate inside. The décor is quaint and unique. They have a good beer and wine menu although wine I chose... More

This was a fantastic meal. Steak sandwich was delicious. Fondue sauce on the side tasted amazing. French fries were plentiful and crispy. Beer menu was diverse and unique. At night, they play silent movies against the wall of another building. This may be my favorite restaurant in Tampa. A true undercover gem.

Decided to try this place on new years eve. Very busy. Food was okay pub food. It was a bit chilly out on the deck and they only had one heater turned on for about 20 minutes.

The fish n chips were good, but the fish could be a tad bit fresher. The beer was well laced on the glass and the service was good.

Quiet, comfortable atmosphere with excellent service. A simple menu of typical English pub items. I had an interesting conversation with the owner about wineries in NZ and England (!) I can recommend the salad and fish & chips - more than ample servings. Tables seemed to fill up quickly after 5:30.
