On site hotel restaurants are usually disappointing but Oystercatchers is an amazing exception. It offers incredibly fresh, local seafood caught that day. The selection offers something for everyone's taste all prepared creatively to perfection. The wait staff was very professional and personable with helpful suggestions and explanations. There are no poor choices on the menu. I had local grouper and... More

This is a great restaurant for a special occasion. We had been there many years back for an anniversary and I decided to go back for my husbands birthday dinner with the family. They have valet only parking. The outside has a beautiful area you can walk around by the water. Inside we sat at the bar for cocktails while... More

Had drinks at the bar and an appetizer. The restaurant was just opening and not many people were there yet. Menu looked interesting but prices were high.

The food was very good. There is a raw bar. I ordered a smoked seafood medley, which was tasty, but had a very heavy smoke flavor.

Six of us went for dinner on a recent week night. I made reservations and were accommodated with a lovely table with a view of the bay. The food was good, 4 out of 5. The servers were attentive. The disappointment of the experience was having to sit in a relatively small area between the hostess stand and the bar... More

We live in Tampa and Oystercatchers is one of our favorite "go-to" places for a special occasion. The service staff is excellent as is the food. My hubby is very picky about restaurant seafood and he loves the choices at Oystercatchers. It's one of the few restaurants in Tampa on the water and the view is lovely, especially at sunset.... This place is a little high brow even though my table rocked. very high priced and small portions. I paid a premium for blue point oysters and the were the smallest oysters I ever saw. I ordered the mahi tacos and got two very small tacos with a piece of fish the size of a finger on each taco. The... More

Everything we had was fabulous!!! Great ambience. Made a special appetizer just for us because we wanted calamari but not breaded, it was divine! Peanut butter cup dessert was also a highlight!

I tried the seafood bisque and it was delicious. I had the pecan grilled snapper, which was also delicious. It came with roasted asparagus, which was great, but the rice was bland and not warm enough. I had the sticky fig pudding for dessert, which was like bread pudding. This dessert was so good that I walked over and got... More
