Not your average hotel restaurant

Awesome food and ambiance on the water. The smoked salt that you get with your bread and butter is amazing. Calamari is great. Scallop dinner was excellent. A little pricey but worth it.

The manager still made us pay. Said it was unacceptable and would make sure everything was perfect going going forward. DID I MENTION THERE WAS A BIG DEAD ROACH IN THE GRITS.

Seafood, the snapper was delicious, wait staff was snobby as was the front reception employee. They are cold, nothing warm and friendly. Our dessert which was a chocolate cake that looked like it would be incredible was blahhh! Nothing special, like a microwave cake with a tiny, tiny bit of sauce. The wine at 12.00 a glass had a very... More

Had early dinner reservations midweek.had the calamari fries that everyone seems to write about. A bit over seasoned, long strips of calamari that were fried. They were tender and tasty, Good selection for bar food tho. I should have ordered the soup instead. BF had the Caesar Salad, just ok. I had the huge diver scallops, again fish was over... More

We run speaking events and like to treat our speakers to a great restaurant. We have done this all over at some very nice restaurants. Oystercatchers food is decent but was way overpriced. We had 31 people at the dinner and it was about 40% higher than we have ever experienced.

For a place called oystercatchers in Florida I was disappointed with the selection of oysters. Fish was fine sides served with dinner did not have any flavor. The Calamari was good. The lobster mac and cheese was ok. My son had the grouper bites with french fries and I wondered if I could order that too after I saw the... More

Food was good - not exceptional and highly overpriced. Staff was very nice. View was decent. There's a lot of places to go in Tampa with better food, better view, and way better prices. Forget the lobster mac n cheese that everyone raves about. Average at best...and if you factor in price.....forget it.

Perhaps a party of 11 is not the best plan for this restaurant. This place is definitely a hot spot in town and completely packed! We made a reservation and they did not think that they were not going to be able to accommodate us but; 15-20 minutes later the resturant was able to get us a table. Worthwhile wait... More

Was surprised a place like this in a hotel would be so good, but I had two meals here - dinner and brunch - and really enjoyed them all. The cocktails are also pretty good. The habanero margarita was fun. You can sit out on the patio and face the water. The patio also has water misters to keep you... More

Birthday celebrations with friends are special occasions. Lots of friends means lots of celebrations, so it can be a challenge to find a special place that's not on our usual dining circuit. Oystercatchers is that place. We can always depend on the food and service to be exceptional, and the waterfront view is lovely. Each of our party of four... More
