Open 365-days a year, including all holidays. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Reservations accepted. Children's menu available. In addition to award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine, Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City features Flamenco dance performances nightly, Monday - Saturday. There is no show on Sunday. The Café offers live jazz Tuesday through Saturday. The Hernandez Gonzmart family has been making restaurant history since 1905 when they opened their landmark Columbia Restaurant in Tampa's Historic Ybor City, which today is Florida's Oldest RestaurantSM. Today, 4th & 5th generation family members work hard to preserve the family's legacy that their great-grandfather Casimiro Hernandez, Sr. created over 110 years ago when he opened the Columbia as a corner café frequented by local cigar workers. Join the celebrities, tourists and locals who flock to the Columbia and make your next meal an experience to remember. Our guests enjoy many of the same century-old family recipes that have made the Columbia famous like Paella "a la Valenciana," Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot, The Original Cuban Sandwich, and Filet Mignon "Columbia". Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy an ice cold pitcher of Sangria or Mojitos, or sample a fine Spanish wine like Torres, Montecillo or Campillo from our award-winning wine list.

Fancy!

lots to look at, had a lot of fun with a group. We got to dine in the king's room and were entertained by the flamenco dancers. Lots of fun. I really don't remember much about the food because it was so fun. Thanks Rick. Leaving Tampa Airport, they have a mini version in the airport. I got a... read more

Taking advantage of a lovely Thursday afternoon, my daughter and I planned lunch at the original Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, Fl. We couldn't have chosen a better location for an elegant, but reasonably priced and delicious lunch. We chose the table side sangria and highly recommend this for anyone who enjoys a great tasting sangria. We shared a cup... More

The building is beautiful and worth the visit. Food was average. ALL staff miserable. No smiles. Atmosphere sombre. So disappointed.

we eagerly went to celebrate a hispanic friend's birthday -- the building, furnishings and history are iconic and worth seeing; we were jammed into an auditorium-size dining room with about a couple hundred other tourists -- loud, noisy ... terrible acoustics! the food is ok ... better to be had is some of the smaller, cozier places in ybor city.... I called three friends to head here today for lunch and boy was I embarrassed. If you go and get Billy, ask for another server. The service was mediocre at best. I normally like getting the 1905 salad because it's supposed to be made at your table. Well, not today. To add insult the lettuce was wilted and brown and... More

Gloria, Mother in Law , turned 85 yr young and we had a surprise luncheon for her at the Colombia. 60 family members including brothers, spouses, nieces, nephews showed the appreciation and love for Gloria. Very emotional day. The reserved room was set up perfectly, the service was outstanding . Then the food arrived and WOW, it was great as well.... More

Columbia Restaurant it is one of kind for the tourist who visited the Tampa Bay Area. I did been there a few times and I was pleased with the service and the quality of the choices you have for your dinner plus the area in general attracts all the tourist from all over.

This restaurant feels like you are stepping back it time. Great location in historic Ybor. The 1905 salad is delicious; as is everything on the menu. The empanadas de picadillo are great. Make sure you save room for dessert because the white chocolate bread pudding is to die for. I don't like white chocolate or bread pudding but the waiter... More

This is a very touristy Spanish restaurant in town. It is very beautiful on the outside and really every tourist should go there. The food is good though not the best Spanish food in town. The atmosphere is worth going to though.you'll feel as though you're in Spain.
