Open 365-days a year, including all holidays. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Reservations accepted. Children's menu available. In addition to award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine, Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City features Flamenco dance performances nightly, Monday - Saturday. There is no show on Sunday. The Café offers live jazz Tuesday through Saturday. The Hernandez Gonzmart family has been making restaurant history since 1905 when they opened their landmark Columbia Restaurant in Tampa's Historic Ybor City, which today is Florida's Oldest RestaurantSM. Today, 4th & 5th generation family members work hard to preserve the family's legacy that their great-grandfather Casimiro Hernandez, Sr. created over 110 years ago when he opened the Columbia as a corner café frequented by local cigar workers. Join the celebrities, tourists and locals who flock to the Columbia and make your next meal an experience to remember. Our guests enjoy many of the same century-old family recipes that have made the Columbia famous like Paella "a la Valenciana," Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot, The Original Cuban Sandwich, and Filet Mignon "Columbia". Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy an ice cold pitcher of Sangria or Mojitos, or sample a fine Spanish wine like Torres, Montecillo or Campillo from our award-winning wine list.

Beautiful restaurant, charming experience.

The first time I have ever gone to The Columbia Restaurant was New Year's Day. I helped myself to a vegetarian paella, and it was sublime. They were very accommodating to my celiac disease, and the show was fantastic. I couldn't give more praise to the elegant movements of the dancers. Also, I... read more

I love the history of the Columbia and have meant to make a stop my last few visits to Tampa. As a huge fan of Cuban sandwiches, I knew there was only one option to try. Honestly... I was a little disappointed. It wasn't a bad sandwich by any means, but I was truly expecting more from a restaurant with... More

Quite a wait without reservations, but well worth the wait. Excellent atmosphere. Absolutely wonderful food. Recommended to others during the conference, and all agreed-a must see/eat restaurant in Ybor.

This is the restaurant to take the family, whether you're a Tampa native or just visiting. The history is authentic and rich, the staff and restaurant is immaculate, and my family was treated just part of the restaurant's family. The food is absolutely wonderful. I recommend everyone in your family try something different and share. Nothing bonds a family closer... More

We had the most romantic evening here! I had the paella Valencia and the sangria. It was heaven! They make the sangria tableside which was nice and interesting to watch. We also had the chorizo and veal meatballs for an appetizer which were both amazing. Definitely want to make a trip back and soon!

We were a big group so I took that into consideration with the speed of service and still find it lacking. We were all starving so most of the people in my party had to fill up on the bread. Good thing their bread was delicious! Food was great when it finally got to us. Everybody was satisfied with their... More

Yes, it's pricey. Yes, it's popular. For a reason! The food is wonderful and the service great. Plus, the building itself is a lovely piece of architecture. Call ahead and pay the small extra fee for the Flamenco show - it's worth it. A large menu but we've never had a bad meal so be adventurous! And after the wonderful... More

We were told when visiting Tampa to dine at The Columbia by several different people. We were not disappointed! The Sangria made table side was lite and refreshing. The empanadas appetizers were delicious. We shared the "Joe and Marilyn" and it was plenty of food for two people. We topped off our meal with the UNBELIEVABLE bread pudding. For an... More
