We went to the restaurant on the recommendation of the Concierge at our hotel and we were grateful for the recommendation. We attended the restaurant as a family and enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. Our waiter was very patient with us given that this was our fist visit and we had lots of questions about the menu. He took... More

I went to this restaurant strictly based on TripAdvisor reviews. I made reservations that morning. Still had to wait to he seated. Waiter spoke really broken English. I told him of a food allergy to beef because I was ordering something I'd never had before. He assured me the meal was beef-free. It was not. The dish was approx $20... More

We are pleased that you chose to celebrate your birthday with us. We are not sure what went wrong, if your server gave you a different meal than the one you ordered, but nonetheless, we are sorry that we let you down. More

Love the atmosphere and the food is great. Service is doubled up by two servers and they really took their time It was a Friday night, but a place that big should have the service issue down by now.

We have eaten at the COLUMBIA in St Augustine several times and chose it for lunch on our overnite stay in Ybor City. My husband and I both had the Picadillo and as usual it was great, with 1905 salad and crusty Cuban Bread. I wish we had waited for supper and had seen the dancers. Always a good meal... More

I had the cuban and 1905 salad combo which were both excellent. Lunch is a great time to go and you can eat at the bar with no waiting.

We went to this iconic restaurant expecting a great experience. Well except for our server that was friendly and attentive , nothing else is worth writing home about. The table was way too small for the four of us. The food was below average but overpriced. I ordered a Filet steak that was cooked in a way that completely ruined... More

Our president is the great-grandson of our founder, and a 4th generation owner/operator. He always reminds us that we are only as good as our last meal, and unfortunately the meal you received on your visit did not create a good impression, and it does not reflect our standard of excellence, and we apologize. We are glad to see that... More

The paella is excellent, very authentic and almost as good as in Spain. The sangria and pan cubano are also very good. It is a very busy place, be prepared to wait a little while.

If you are going to eat at The Columbia Restaurant, you definitely want dinner and the flamenco show. The dancers were fabulous and very entertaining. The earlier show starts at 7:30, so ideally make your reservation for 6:30 so that you are done your main dish when the show starts, as they turn down the lights for the show which... More

Whenever I am in Tampa -- or other parts of Florida where there is a Columbia Restaurant -- I always make time for their salad! Delicious, crisp with swiss and ham and a wonderful tart dressing, it makes for the perfect lunch. The Cuban bread is a perfect accompaniment.

This is a a wonderful place for a date or business meeting. The food quality is consistent and the mojitos are worth purchasing by the pitcher, expect $50 a person if you each have a drink or two. The service is the only real variable for this place. We had Ramon and a female server last time, the girl was... More
