Open 365-days a year, including all holidays. Serving lunch and dinner daily. Reservations accepted. Children's menu available. In addition to award-winning Spanish/Cuban cuisine, Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City features Flamenco dance performances nightly, Monday - Saturday. There is no show on Sunday. The Café offers live jazz Tuesday through Saturday. The Hernandez Gonzmart family has been making restaurant history since 1905 when they opened their landmark Columbia Restaurant in Tampa's Historic Ybor City, which today is Florida's Oldest RestaurantSM. Today, 4th & 5th generation family members work hard to preserve the family's legacy that their great-grandfather Casimiro Hernandez, Sr. created over 110 years ago when he opened the Columbia as a corner café frequented by local cigar workers. Join the celebrities, tourists and locals who flock to the Columbia and make your next meal an experience to remember. Our guests enjoy many of the same century-old family recipes that have made the Columbia famous like Paella "a la Valenciana," Snapper "Alicante" Pompano en Papillot, The Original Cuban Sandwich, and Filet Mignon "Columbia". Don't miss Columbia's Original "1905" Salad(R), prepared tableside with our delicious, freshly-made dressing, a family recipe of fresh garlic, oregano, wine vinegar and Spanish extra virgin olive oil. Enjoy an ice cold pitcher of Sangria or Mojitos, or sample a fine Spanish wine like Torres, Montecillo or Campillo from our award-winning wine list.

Always Outstanding

For as long as they've been around, The Columbia can always be counted on for quality food and service. The sangria is out of this world. Famous for their salad, but stay away from this if you intend to eat a big meal as you'll be taking food home with you! Can't go wrong with any of the choices... read more

Even while enjoying Happy Hour martini's at Bernini's down the street, we were told our choice of dinner locale was superb! Always heard the place was not only historic but purveyor of great food as well, and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, started the meal right by describing the building, wine cellar and invited us to look around after... More

Solid attentive service, wonderful atmosphere. Drinks excellent, tapas and apps solid. Entree was disappointing. Paella was good, but seafood in the paella was overcooked. Good experience overall, just not the stellar food I was expecting.

We were about 6 friends from Cuba living in USA and descendants of Spaniards. The food is very good in some cases with the chef twist. Nice ambiance and each of the different areas of the restaurant has something unique.

This has become a pilgrimage site for me whenever I am in the Tampa area and once again it was worth the trek. Despite the rainstorm starting as we parked (Ybor City is a walking area) we got in and had a fabulous meal. I had the Chacho filet steak and it was wonderful. The kids also had a steak... More

Excellent customer service and food. Speedy service abs attentive. My husband and I attempted to try as many things as we could because everything on the menu looked so good. We had the Cuban sandwich, caldo Gallego (soup) albondigas (meatballs) and for dessert: coconut icecream and a guava turnover. Every single thing was excellent. This place has been in business... Ybor City isn't the same without supper at Columbia restaurant on E. 7th Ave. It's a landmark that tells a lot about Tampa's past. Unfortunately, Open Table (reservations) did not specify the 7:00 and 9:00 times of the evening shows, and we reserved too late for the half-hour early mandatory seating. Luckily, I'd mentioned "flamenco" seating when reserving online--otherwise, we... More
