Wonderful experience!

You can tell a restaurant that offers great food by the long line waiting to get in. But don't be discouraged it moves quickly or you can call ahead. Housed in an old Cuban cigar factory, the atmosphere still has the ambiance of old Cuba. The food is excellent and service was as well. Put it on your... read more

We ate at the Ybor City location of the Columbia restaurant and liked it so much that a few days later went to the location in Celebration, Florida. Both were superb. With Spanish specialties and tapas, there are so many things on the menu it is hard to decide what to eat. At Ybor City, we had tapas scallops, grilled... More

Our friends from Cornwall, Ontario, my wife and I had an awesome lunch. The black beans and rice was delicious as were all our entrees & the 1905 salad was a big hit as well!! Alberto, our server was very attentive and very pleasant.

This restaurant has been right there in Ybor City for 100 years, so you shouldn't miss it. The flamenco show is fun, but the other dining rooms are more attractive. Fish dishes are large and tasty with flavors from Cuba and Spain.

Pay the extra $6 for a seat in the showroom to see the Flamenco dancers - it's a colorful and fun show! The famous 1905 salad is good - but don't expect miracles, it's just a salad. Try the Ropa Vieja - tender, delicious and muy sabroso! The Cuban bread is awesome, the service is good - and the prices... More

When we first walked into this restaurant, I said "ugh". It was HUGE. So many different rooms, everything was SO loud. I don't like huge restaurants as a rule. But we stuck it out--were seated in a room that wasn't quite as noisy as the first one a guest walks into. Pleasant staff, and the food was surprisingly good. My... More

I've been to the Columbias at St. Armands, St Pete, and the original one at Ybor in Tampa. The latter is by far the best. It has the atmosphere of the days when the Cuban cigar factories thrived there--a little elegance and history. The food is marvelous. They do great things with pork. I like Cuban food but my husband... More

We enjoyed our visit to the Columbia, especially the lovely mosaics that line all the restaurant walls. The feel from the moment you walk in is 'charming'. Their homemade Sangria, in their beautiful pottery pitchers, was perfect. We enjoyed the experience.
