Wanting a cozy place to enjoy a cold beer and a really good pizza, My husband & I opened the original Cappy's while we were still in college. That was almost 19 years ago. Since then, we have been blessed with a fantastic staff- some of whom have moved on to open their own partnership Cappy's stores! With locations in South Tampa (the original), Seminole Heights, St Pete, Brandon, Tampa Palms and Cedar Rapids, Iowa (I know, but it is my home town) we strive to maintain a relaxed, homey atmosphere. We specialize in pizza, but we do serve a mean greek salad, breadsticks and cheesebread. Our philosophy is to keep it simple, and excel in what we do best- which is pizza. We do, however, pride ourselves with an extensive micro/import beer selection. So, come join us for a delicious pie and maybe a beer that you've never heard of. Oh, and bring the kiddos- we are family friendly!

Limited Men, Great Quality

Cappy's adheres to the less-is-more philosophy...their menu is simple: pizza, a couple sides, and salad. The deep dish looked fantastic but tried the New York style. Very pleased plus a good value. There's tons of character and memorabilia lining the walls. Skip the chains.

We were referred by a friend and all I can say is WOW! First the salad was absolutely excellent! It was fresh and the dressing was amazing! Now the main course, THE PIZZA! Having just returned from Chicago we were very pleasantly surprised. The pizza was great! Only thing missing was the ricotta cheese. After talking to our server she... More

We were looking for a place to eat late on a Sunday evening. Found this gem. Simple menu basically pizza and a couple salads. Meatballs are homemade and they are awesome. Very economical ask well.

Pizza is always great. Love the greek salad. Friendly staff! Parking is tight so if you arrive after business hours you may want to park across the street and walk over.

Fresh made Chicago style Deep Dish true to tradition and New York style just like every good New York Pizzeria makes. Small place with little seating, cold beer, lots of atmosphere and limited parking. Good eats and Quirky people, nice place.

Great pizza and great service. Get the Greek salad! Nice outdoor seating. You're able to choose from NY style pizza or Chicago deep dish. Tried the Veggie, super delicious.

Love that you can get thin or thick crust just your way. We always take out so I can't speak to eating there.

Cheesey, bland sauce, thick dough. I enjoyed their ceasar's salad with chunks of parmesan. Nice ambience (memorabilia) and friendly and quick service.

This little hideaway pizza experience(New York, Chicago, etc) is worth the hunt. Not far from Clearwater-St. Pete area and on popular traffic route you will really enjoy the atmosphere of the cozy establishment that the owners really take pride in. From interesting menu(on old vinyl album jackets) to old car tags from years of customers around the top of the... More
