Roy's for dinner

Atmosphere was nice especially for business people. We didn't see any children there. We had drinks then went for the main course. You can look at their menu on-line. Food, drinks & service were good.

The appearance of this restaurant is uptown, high class steakhouse, with waiters and bartenders in neat sharp vests and cold. I set at the bar because my plans included an appetizer and a cocktail, brew. The brew had a limited selection of about ten, but the wine selection here is numerous and really no speciality cocktails. The bartender I had... More

I have been to Roy's several times and have always been impressed with the quality of the food. Yesterday was not quite as good as I had remembered but the service was terrible. I made a 6 PM reservation and we were seated immediately. Our server seemed to be in a hurry to hustle us out. She wouldn't leave us... More

We have enjoyed dining at several of Roy's restaurants. The first one we tried was the original in Hawaii. Always good, interesting food with a Pacific Rim touch.

Once again, I long for a "Good" category on Trip Advisor. There needs to be something better than Average, but not necessarily "VERY GOOD." Enjoyed our meals here but don't know that I liked it enough to be a repeat customer. Atmosphere was fine but nothing special about it. Shared a Blackened Ahi appetizer which was very good but about... More

I took my wife to Roy's for my umpteenth thousandth birthday -- and it was as remarkable as always. Yes, they nicely acknowledged my birthday with inserts in the day's menu, with personal greetings from the manager, with little shiny confetti spread on the table, with an awesome photo of my wife and I, and a delicious appetizer -- but... Roy's is a high end chain that you can find in a lot of major cities in the U.S. Roy's started in Hawaii and the food is a great mix of Asian Cuisine and Basic American. Plenty of creative choices on the menu. Service is always good. It can be a bit pricey but it's well worth it. Great for... More

Went with a date in the evening. The restaurant itself appeared elegant. As stated above the menu was inspired. Many menu offerings were creative spins on dishes you're probably already familiar with. Choose combinations you're comfortable with and you can't go wrong. Unless your children are adventurous eaters you may be hard pressed to find something they'll like. The cost... More

I was excited to try this place because of the good reviews and interesting menu, but it wasn't that good. All of the food was average, the service was inattentive, and the bill through the roof. I will say the chocolate souffle dessert was heavenly it was so good I would consider eating here again for that reason. Try Kona... More
