We ordered the six oz black Angus ribeye, grilled corn, asparagus, and potatoes gratin. For desert we had apple cobbler. Our first-bite comment? "Outstanding!" The tender steaks could be cut with a fork and the flavor was amazingly delicious. The accompanying grilled vegetables were very fresh and tasty. We were staying at the Intercontinental and decided to eat at Shula's with my parents and nephew. Filet mignon x 3 and the cowboy ribeye. 1 filet cooked close to request. Others overcooked. Rare to medium rare does not mean dusky pink. Oh, and food was not hot. When I said something to the manager when he asked how our... More

Shula's Steakhouse in downtown Tampa was one of the best steakhouses we have been to in this area. I would compare it to Bern's. We were celebrating our anniversary. They put a little brass sign on our table that said Happy Anniversary. After dinner they brought us a complementary chocolate cake. The steaks were excellent. The service was excellent.

If you're looking for a great steak in a quiet atmosphere, not stuffy, this is the place. From drink to dessert, they won't disappoint. Ask for Gary, he'll take good care of you and make great recommendations. My favorite steak is the 22 oz Cowboy.

I dined with a friend at Shula,s Steak House in Tampa, last evening. The rib eye steak I ordered was mediocre, at best. Service was ok, but certainly, nothing to rave about. Dinner, for two, which included a14 oz. ribeye, a 8 oz. filet, two sides a can of Guiness, and one cocktail came to $165.00 with tip. The meal... More

Did not eat dinner here. Just the breakfast buffet which was acceptable but nothing special. The food that was out seemed cold and not as fresh as it could have been. Would have preferred to order off menu but price comes out about the same.

I was in town for the Rays opener. The restaurant is conveniently located inside the hotel. The burger was really good. With that said it was over priced. Everyone was friendly, however I didn't think the way the bartender communicated with the bar back was appropriate. There times to give feedback, but not in a abrasive tone in front of... More

I stayed at the Intercontinental and received a voucher for breakfast each morning rather than an upgrade to a junior suite (my choice since I was alone and thought I would get a hearty breakfast and didn't need a large suite for just myself)! I thought it would be a win/win for both the hotel and me, but it WASN'T!!!... More

We came in late for a light dinner. Our waiter, Gary, was wonderful!the food was spectacular and the wine was divine. Dessert was even better.

I'm not sure if it was just our server but she was rude. We came before dinner time and ate in the bar area, we were not dressed up, She treated us like we didn't belong. I have eaten a Shula's in other cities and always had good service, we were very disappointed. She even got my order wrong.
