A hidden gem.

White tablecloth restaurant with minimum décor. Staff was excellent with great attention to the children's wants. My grandson wanted spaghetti with butter and garlic (not on any menu) and that is what they prepared. On the pricey side, except for the children; about $40.00 a head with wine but... read more

We were traveling through and stopped because it came up with a nice review on an app I was using. The food was very good, it was not the cheapest in town but the chef knows how to cook Italian. His red sauce was excellent. The only downside to either of our meals (I had a seafood pescatore and my... More

My husband and I have been dining at Gio's Italian for several years now and have always had a wonderful dining experience at this intimate restaurant where you can actually hear a conversation! Their seafood pasta dishes are outstanding, their tomato sauce tastes like my father's home made sauce--delicious! If there is something you want that is not on the... More

One of the worst places that I've been to in the Tampa area. At first glance, it looks like a nice place both inside and out, however, the service is what ruined the whole experience. We arrived when the restaurant was not busy at all. There were 4 in my party and only 2 other couples in the restaurant on... More

Went there last night. I was thoroughly disappointed in Gio's. I went there a few years ago and it was excellent. Last night it was terrible. Way overpriced. My wife and I spend $75 for chicken parmigiana and a salad. We had a $24 bottle of wine that was pretty good. Italian food shouldn't cost this much. And the sauce... More

Walked in, was greeted immediately and walked to my table. Javier was my server, he took my beer order and came back quickly with it. He asked if I wanted some bread, took some time, but eventually I had my bread, I think that they might make it there, it was good. Ordered the Vitello Marsala with angel hair pasta.... More

I have to say I'm usually scared to use my restaurant.com coupons but this place is simply amazing. We had three completely different dishes and all three were simply amazing. I would highly recommended this restaurant and we will definately be coming back. Best Italian food that I have had in a very long time!

We have lived in Tampa for almost 12 years and hadn't ever heard of Gio's Italian, what a shame! We met another couple there for dinner and every table was full within 45 minutes. You could tell from how the staff greeted many that they were loyal customers. They had live piano music in one corner. I got the red... More
