Best Sunday brunch in Tamka

Been several times, never disappointed. The breakfast of champions drink is really a shot. Be warned! I think a safer bet is the bloody mary, with a tasty rimmed glass, an olive and a rib garnish. The white sangria got seconds from some at our table, too. The cheddar biscuits are enormous... read more

Fun and funky place but not over the top. Diverse menu offering burgers, pizza, salads, and entrees pleasing to carnivores and veggies. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wide variety of martinis, beers, wines, etc. Small stage area for musicians. Outside patio. Dining loft. High ceilings and unusual art. Great vibe here and oh btw, food was all great! Had pizza, salads,... More

We visit Ella's whenever we are in Tampa to visit our daughters at USF. We love the atmosphere, especially sitting out on the porch under the trees. The food is excellent with lots of eclectic choices. We especially like Soul Food Sundays, with the best bloody mary's anywhere. The owner is always making rounds, overall a very pleasant place to... Great atmosphere, live music on weekends. Outside dining with great service. I had a fresh salad my date loved the pork BBQ.

Have you ever gone to a restaurant that you've heard good things about and been wanting to try for a while, only to be disappointed? That was our experience last night at Ella's. We made reservations and were told it would be a 45 minute wait which, as it turns out, was spot on: we arrived a 6:20 and after... More

I can't say anything bad about Ella's, but maybe more importantly, I can say a LOT of good. The service was great, the food was amazing, and the wine and beer list leaves nothing to be desired. I had the bacon wrapped meatloaf, which is a bit decadent to put it lightly, but oh so delicious. I like literally everything... More

Soul food Sunday. Unbelievable. We have been to this restaurant on a Friday night for happy hour when we are visiting our son in Tampa, but not on soul food Sunday. Wow. Arrived at 10:50 for an 11:00 open. Line around the side of the building. Thank goodness we went around back and came in through the shady garden area!... More

I know I will probably get stoned for this review considering most are good reviews, but after my first experience, I just don't see it. I have heard and read so many good things and maybe our visit was just one of those lemon visits but we were both really disappointed in the food. Brian ordered the Ella Mary and... More

This is no quick in and out place, while waiting for your table I suggest you sidle up to the bar for some appetizers which are unique and very tasty - my personal favourite is the rastafries. Don't let the wait time scare you, that in itself is an experience with the chance to interact with complete strangers while sampling... More

Recommended by a local, we were very glad to have mapped our way to Ella's during our Tampa stay. A nice change from the many chain offerings near our hotel, Ella's was worth the wait. We waited about 65 minutes for a table, but enjoyed the discovering the various pieces of art throughout the property while we passed the time.... More
