Our engagement dinner party was a complete dream come true thanks to your professionalism and hospitality. We experienced the most beautiful attention from everyone in your restaurant. The food, entertainment, drinks, service.... every detail was greatly appreciated!!! Special Thanks to Fred, John and Dillon for going above and beyond! You were truly amazing! We were very excited to try this tapas restaurant on our first night in the Tampa area after looking at the reviews and menu. It is a super clean very stylish restaurant and the Spanish guitar entertainment was top notch! It had a mainly full restaurant, we asked our server for tapas suggestions as well as entrees. She suggested we... More

We got married on a Friday in November 2014 and my wife-to-be wanted to have our reception at Spain Restaurant because we just love the place (see previous review). We decided we would do all the planning ourselves (thus no wedding coordinator). We talked to Fred Castro, owner of Spain Rest, and he graciously agreed to host our reception. Before... More

While I am not expert in Tapas I found the experience forgettable . The setting was a decent attempt at the Mediterranean experience however the food was average & service indifferent.

Our dinner group truly enjoyed our dinner before we saw the Book of Mormon at the Straz Center tonight. The drinks, food and service were all superb. While I enjoyed a full sized Kettle One vodka martini, most of our group had the red sangria....didn't even realize it came in white! The paella was a big hit!

I will start with the only negative of our dinner: The bartender did not have the foggiest notion as to making a bloody Mary. House salads were very good. Three of us ordered the Tapas tasting..... Select four tapas. Excellent choice. I had the octopus, paella, mushroom extravaganza, and the Serrano ham charcuterie tapas. Great choices. Another one in our... More

I was in Tampa for business, so I walked over to Spain for dinner. On a Thursday at 6pm, it was empty, but I thought I'd sit at the bar and grab a quick bite. The service was good, but the food tasted like airplane food. I ordered two tapas plates. The beef tenderloin with mushrooms was overly salty and... More

One of my favorite restaurant of all time. Food is great, It's owned by a local family who migrated from Spain to Tampa long time ago. Husband and wife small business which has lots of love and wonderful family atmosphere. The Solo classic guitarists are very talented. Especially Jessy Leros. He is the best guitarist I have ever listened to... More

We were looking for a hip place to hold a cocktail reception for business colleagues within walking distance of the Tampa Convention Center, and someone directed us to Spain. Well, they were right! What a lovely place this is! The tapas were delicious and they kept both white and red sangria going throughout the party. There was a guitarist playing.... More
