Don't judge a book by its cover

I host a small group for an annual gathering. We ended up here with no expectations. The facade may make you pause but go in anyway. The dim sum was hot, fresh and good (crispy shrimp, turnip, pork, chicken buns). The fried rice comes in ample portions (1 serving is in a 9" glass pie plate... read more

Year after year I return to this special restaurant. I love all types of Asian food. The Chinese food here is just so much better than what I can find in other south Florida Chinese restaurants. No fancy ambiance here, rather plain looking but it's all about the food. So many delicious choices. Helpful attentive service. Very reasonable prices.

It is not really a "5" compared to Northeast Chinese, but for a Florida Chinese restaurant I do not think you will find better food. The prices were very fair too. The shrimp with crispy noodles came with 8 very large shrimp for only $15. The Mongolian beef has very tender beef for only $14. The quality and portion sizes... More

When I have meetings in the Cypress Creek area around lunch time, this in one of my go to places. They have dim sum plus all the standard dishes. What I also really like is the BBQ pork. I sometimes have dishes with the roast pork or get an extra side order and add it to my soup (which is... More

I am not chinese but I'm crazy about chinese food, and specially Dim-Sum. OMG the food is spetacular! The place is kind of old fashioned, typical of family-run business, but the quality of the food overcomes anything. Having been around these small-family restaurants for quite some time, I've learned something very important: They have their own timing and way of... More

I've been eating in Hong Kong City BBQ since it opened many years ago. Today though, I noticed that portions are much smaller than they used to be. The sate squid and the sui mai plates were the most tiny. Luckily we had order a bowl of brown rice. Otherwise we would have left hungry. But to their advantage, their... More

I enjoyed everything from the egg roll tongue garlic chick and loose leaf teas. Reminds me of a place my grandfather took me when I was a kid. Loved it

I have been a frequent customer of this establishment for over 10 years. I love the food and the people that work their treat us like family and the only thing that will stop me going here is a change of ownership.

Egg rolls and wonton soup good, moo goo ok, partner's chicken fried rice tasted burnt. Dirty run down bathroom, dirty lobster and fish tanks--- not appealing to look at while eating. Some lobsters didn't move the whole time we were there... Hope they weren't dead!

I had dinner with my daughter yesterday evening and was extremely upset with the service provided. We arrived at the restaurant and decided to eat in. Yes, it was a busy Sunday, but for the staff to tell me that because they were busy that he may have to take the chairs from our table to accommodate other guest. I... More
