Nice new location

I love the tranquil obviance of the sushi bar just behind the foyer when you enter. Though I've not tried the sushi just yet, I've eaten several times in the prior location before they moved. The food quality and portions are good. The prices are reasonable and my food was served piping hot on all... read more

We went here for a business luncheon and needless to say the lunch special had a great price. The concept of having food separated like a cafeteria plate was kind of different, but appealing. Somehow, it made the food look more appealing. I waitress we had was very good. We had a large group of about 20 and she was... More

We tried Masa on a Sunday evening. We were greeted promptly, and ordered hot tea which arrived lukewarm. Then our waiter disappeared for over 10 minutes. We finally sent the hostess to look for him. When he returned, we ordered Volcano sushi as an appetizer. It arrived lukewarm, with a topping of goopy mayonnaise-based seafood...definitely not hot and bubbling .... More

My neighbor, a New Zealander with a discriminating palate, and I enjoy an occasional upmarket meal together. "Where shall we go", he asked, "Let's try Masa in their new location", said I having lunched there a couple of times and each of us having enjoyed terrific meals at Masa in their previous place. We sat at the bar, were greeted... More

Price for our lunch was about $10 per plate plus drinks. I have had better Asian food, but this was very good. I have been there twice this year and both times were consistent in food and service and atmosphere. Both times were lunch and we tried different items and shared for variety. I had Thai Coconut Curry chicken, wife... More

My husband and I recently had lunch at Masa for the first time and were very pleasantly surprised at how wonderful the entire experience was. The decor and ambiance were very nice, very sophisticated, and our server was friendly and professional. (Never said the abominable "NO PROBLEM"!! and did remember to say "MY PLEASURE": so much nicer). The menu selections... More

Tallahassee has several fabulous local "chic" restaurants owed and operated by young chefs and restauranteurs who are still setting new standards for great home cooking in a town that really needs great cuisine.

We ate off and on at the original Masa, but had stopped going several years ago. Masa recently relocated to a larger location and we decided to give it a try. We have eaten at the new restaurant twice since they moved, and I remain underwhelmed. It is nice to get a different taste treat in eating their Chinese/Thai/Japanese food... More

Very good sushi. I think the best in Tallahassee. They also have great salads from seaweed and seafood to conventional types. A variety of dinners/lunches are available as well. Eclectic atmosphere and very good service.
